  Children’s Services Plans 4th Annual Community Fair
On Saturday, March 24th, Hillsborough County Children’s Services will host their 4th Annual Community Fair. The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Children’s Services Lake Magdalene Campus, 3120 Clay Mangum Lane.
The event will feature games, live music and entertain- ment, face painting and caregivers can visit with experts from more than 50 public nonprofit, and community agencies about programs and services that can grow their children’s emotional, physical and mental health.
Children’s Services is committed to empowering youth and families to be successful, healthy, and self-reliant. The organization provides professional counseling services, sup- port, and mentoring for troubled youth and their families through several programs.

  Dedication Of U. S. Postage Stamp
The U. S. Postal Service and Gamma Theta Omega Chap- ter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Stamp Dedication Committee, Tee Solomon, Chair, will celebrate the 2018 Black Heritage Series presentation of the Lena Horne For- ever Stamp. It is the 41st stamp in the series.
The dedication of the stamp will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 3 p. m., at the Temple Terrace Library, 202 Bullard Parkway, Temple Terrace 33617. Seating is limited.
  Sound Of Gospel Awards & Recognition Winners
The Sound of Gospel Awards and Recognition was held March 3rd and 4th in St. Petersburg. Dr. Kevin Par- rott, better known as ‘Dr. K,’ Minister of Music at Mt. Zion Progressive M. B. Church, coordinated the event.
There was a music con- ference on Saturday at the St. Petersburg College/Gibbs Campus, and on Sunday, a Battle of the Church Choirs and Bands at the Palladium Theater.
Dr. Parrott announced the winners as: The EKK Band, Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir, Isaac Brown and G. A. N. G., and

  Diabetes Workshop
Mt. Tabor MB Church-Health Care Ministry will be having a diabetes workshop and a healthcare provider lecture on heart attack and stroke symptoms. The event will be on Sat- urday, March 24, 2018, starting at 10 a. m. to 12 p.m.
