Wine Curator Offers An Experience To Remember

Just like with fine art, a fine wine ex- perience can be heightened with a qual- ified wine curator.
A wine curator’s job is to provide a collection of wines for enthusiasts or beginners. A wine curator can create ex- periences for wine lovers, catered to their taste.
A wine curator will teach and enter- tain heir clients through unique collec- tions and specialty wines. Wine curation is a new field and reflects a dif- ferent approach than a traditional som- melier.
Ms. Lynn Dowdell is happily challenging the traditional vision of a curator by bringing creativity, sharing, and engaging people in educational and entertaining experiences.
Ms. Dowdell was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and moved to Tampa in 2004. She originally thought she would like to do cosmetology, but

after school, she changed her mind and went into education, becoming a Chap- ter 1 Liaison. There she worked with at- risk children. Later she worked in the

banking and financial field.
Ms. Dowdell’s love of wines
started with visits to her aunts and watching them enjoy fine wine. Over the years, as her children grew up, she began to travel and explore distinct types of wines.
She decided to leave the corporate
world and do something for herself. Her passion for wine led her to initially in- vestigate being a sommelier, or wine steward. However, her love of educa- tion led her to become a curator where she could teach others about wine.
She started with wine tastings and then became certified as a curator.
Her business, Vin Collective, opened in early 2021.
Dowdell states that her business offers wine education, high quality wine curations, and other wine services to the Tampa Bay area. Since her business is virtual, she can offer education and collections to any location.
All wine curations are tailored to the individual’s taste and occasion. Whether you are looking for a business meeting ice breaker, birthdays, anniver- saries, or any celebration, she will pre- pare an event to remember.
