Tampa Bay Tech Football Team
Last Friday, November 26, 2021, Tampa Bay Tech defeated Wharton High School to advance to the state final for the first time. Although Wharton led early in the game, Tampa Bay Tech rallied to win the Class 7A, Region 3 final.

Head coach Jayson Roberts was quoted as saying, “When we get down, when things happen, there’s never any panic, there’s never any worry. They know we’re going to sit down, we’re going to get on the white board, and we’re going to make our adjustments.”
Quarterback Xavione Washington threw a touchdown in the second quarter and the team scored 42 points to dominate Wharton. The end result was Tampa Bay Tech winning 42 – 6 and advancing to the state final. They will face Lake Gibson High School at their home stadium on December 3, 2021 at 7:30pm.
