MR. CHARLES EDWARD SLATER, SR. ‘GEORGIA BOY’
Graveside services for Mr. Charles Edward Slater, Sr., will be held Saturday, Octo- ber10,2015,at11a.m.atOr- ange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, 33619, with Rev. Dr. Patricia Hauser, Pastor of Potter’s House Deliverance Taberna- cle, Tampa, officiating.
Mr. Slater, known to many as Georgia Boy, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015.
Mr. Slater was a native of Coolidge, Georgia, born on November 5, 1943, to the late Nathaniel Slater, Sr. and Daisy Lee Bell. Charles moved to Florida making his home in Tampa. He was for- merly employed with L.V. Thompson Trucking Co. where he was a long distance truck driver.
Mr. Slater was proceed in death by his father, Nathaniel Slater Sr.; his mother, Daisy Lee Bell; his wife, Gloria Slater; his step- daughter, Cyntrina Patrick Scott; stepson, Ricky Slater; his brother, Nathaniel Slater Jr.; and his sisters, Linda Lee and Jaunty Slater.
Mr. Slater leaves behind many fond memories with: his son, Charles Edward Slater Jr.; 3 stepdaughters, Lashon Richards (Charles), Nicole Slater- Wilson (Re- shae), and Gloria King- Beaucejour (Wilder); 4 stepsons, Craig Slater (Chaquita), Michael Slater, Rodney Slater, and Kevin Slater (Demetria); 23 grand- children, Willie, Marshanna, Sable, Constance, Mercedes, Neiji, Craig, Jr., Barack, Mi- lacia, Midasha, Mykal, Mikala Michael, Jr., Michael, III, Mikerious, Rod- ney, Kiwawn, Emmanuel, Jada, Rehanna, Kaneshia, Malick, and Steve, Jr.; 3 great grandchildren, Kendall, Mckynzie and Micah; 5 sisters, Catherine Davis, Annett Bletcher, Daisy Randolph, Dorothy Bryant and Janice Slater; 3 broth- ers, Johnny Slater, Roger Slater and James Slater; a host of sorrowing cousins, nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held for Mr. Charles Edward Slater, Sr., on Friday, Octo- ber 9, 2015 at Aden Funeral Home, 8037 E. Dr. MLK, Jr. Blvd., Tampa from 5-7 p. m.
Family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at 10:45 a. m.

Homegoing celebration for Mr. Dante “Hang- tyme/813” Causey of Tampa, who passed away, Monday, September 28, 2015 will be held Saturday, October 10th at 4 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., Rev. Dr. Jim Knight, officiat- ing.
“Tay” as he was affection- ately called, was born May 15, 1983, the youngest child of Samuel and Deborah Causey. Tay was born and educated in Tampa, and was a graduate of Leto High School, class of 2000, where he excelled in football and baseball. He was also a mem- ber of Belmont Heights Little League from the age of 6 until 17. Everyone that knew Tay loved him, he was a kind and gentle soul.
Tay was an avid rapper since the age of 14 and worked with music his entire life, he performed at local venues and had big dreams. Music was his passion and now he will sing with the an- gels, in his new home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Causey, Sr. and they will be reunited in death.
Tearfully saying good bye is his: fiancé, Beverly Brooks and son, Virgil; he also leaves to cherish his precious mem- ories with: his mother, Deb- orah Causey; brother, Samuel Causey, Jr. (Rikki); sister, Cecily Causey Thomp- son (Alfred); aunts, Donna Wooden; Danette Boyd (James), Minnie Clarke and Betty Lovette; uncle, Darrell Wooden (Inell); great aunts, Elouise Philon and Carrie Washington of Mo- bile, AL; niece, Samara Causey; nephews, Tyrone McKinney (Kayla), Tyrell Thompson, Samuel, Trevonte, Damian, Marquis, Quinton and Samaurie; god- mother, Margaret O’Neal; his homies for Life, T.J. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mrs. Juanita enjoyed talk- ing about the Lord and cook- ing. She attended the schools of Hillsborough County.
She was preceded in death by: her father, James W. Davis, Sr.; and brother, James W. Davis, Jr.

Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Maxine Perkins Kirkpatrick, 82, who passed away peacefully at home in Tampa, on Saturday, October 3, 2015 will be held Tuesday, October, 13th, at 11 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Fa- ther Hugh Chikawe, officiat- ing.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick, was a devoted mentor to the chil- dren of the family. Friends and family describe Mrs. Kirkpatrick as a generous beautiful soul, she was living with her sister, Pearlyne for the past year, but was a for- mer resident of St. Thomas, VI, for 36 years.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert; both parents, CW and Rosa L. Perkins; her son, Stephen Perkins; sister, Delores; brothers, Charles, Kemwah and Wendell Perkins; nephews, William Dungey and Charles Perkins, Jr.; and niece, Andrea Dungey.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her sisters, Pearlyne Wilson, Shirley Rogan, Juanita Dungey and Barbara Perkins; brothers, James and Harris Perkins; a special cousin, Janet Smalls; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
