NBA To Investigate Derek Fisher/Matt Barnes Confrontation
Bucs Make It Official With Kyle Brindza, Clear Another Roster Spot
It's about time. Not that it was a surprise, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made it offi- cial this Monday afternoon clearing a pair of roster spots. The team announced they had waived kicker Kyle Brindza and wide receiver Adam Humphries.
Brindza was given chances, but missed five of his last seven field goal attempts.

A fight between New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher and Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes Saturday night in Los Angeles will likely be in- vestigated by the NBA
Fisher was allegedly at- tacked by bad boy Barnes, who drove 95 miles to “beat the crap out of him” when he found out Fisher was romancing his estranged wife, sources said.
The 6-foot-7 Barnes, who now plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, made a fast break from his team’s California training camp Saturday when he was tipped off that Fisher was making time with sultry “Basketball Wives LA” star Gloria Govan in the home Barnes once shared with her.
Sources say that Barnes be- came incensed when his 6- year-old twin sons, Carter and
Isaiah, called to tell him that Fisher was at the house.
“Barnes went crazy. He got in his car and went to the house and went after Fisher,” one source said.
Fisher and Barnes were teammates on the LA Lakers for two seasons.
Barnes — a forward who’s known as an “enforcer” for his aggressive style of play — found Fisher, Govan and about 10 other people around a bonfire in the back yard, sources said.
Barnes, 35, told friends that two people at the house – in- cluding a relative of his es- tranged wife – interceded on Fisher's behalf.
Fisher filed for divorce from his wife in March.
Fisher is considering legal action for the incident, sources said, but had not yet filed any charges.
Bucs Promote Dye, Jones From Practice Squad
HOWARD JONES And DONTEEA DYE
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been fined approximately $9,000 for his actions in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
Television replays showed Beckham throwing a punch at the helmet of Bills safety Duke Williams during a Buffalo in- terception return in the fourth quarter.
Beckham was not penalized for the play, and the NFL will not disclose any fine informa- tion until Friday.
Bills linebacker Preston Brown also accused Beckham of throwing a punch, telling the Buffalo News that the star wide- out will "get away with it" be- cause he is "the 'golden boy' of the league."
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a series of roster moves Tuesday in addition to bringing back kicker Connor Barth.
The team also placed defen- sive end T.J. Fatinikun on in- jured-reserve and promoted wide receiver Donteea Dye and defensive end Howard Jones to the active roster from the practice squad.
The promotion marks a big step for Dye, an undrafted rookie who played collegiately at Div. III Heidelberg. Jones was the NFL’s highest-paid
practice squad player, so it’s fair to assume the Bucs had Jones in the plans, sooner or later. Jones spent all of 2014 on the Steelers’ practice squad. Fatinikun sustained a knee injury in the second half of last Sunday’s game against Car- olina.
The Bucs also signed offen- sive tackle Reid Fragel and defensive end Josh Shirley to the practice squad and released tackle Martin Wallace from the practice squad.
Seahawks Fans Launch Fundraiser To Pay Ciara To Split With Russell Wilson
Floyd Mayweather Sr. Claims Fraud In Vegas Lawsuit
Host Russell Wilson (L) and recording artist Ciara attend the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards 2015 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on July 16, 2015 in Westwood, California.
The father of champion boxer
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
claims he was tricked into sign- ing a contract for public rela- tions consulting by a woman who agreed to help him set up a nonprofit corporation.
Floyd Mayweather Sr., a trainer and former professional boxer, made the allegation in a lawsuit filed Sept. 25 in Clark County District Court. Named as defendants are Ann Bar- low and Tim Chan, who are identified only as Clark County residents.
According to the complaint, the elder Mayweather previ- ously suffered from sarcoido- sis, an inflammatory disease that primarily affects the lungs and lymph glands.
In early June, the lawsuit alleges, he "engaged with de- fendant Barlow in order to get assistance setting up a non- profit corporation for sarcoido- sis and other ailments that former fighters often suffer from."
About three weeks later, the two entered into a contract, ac- cording to the complaint.
The agreement included a provision that the elder May- weather pay Barlow 10 per- cent of his earnings starting Jan. 1 and "that any other costs or fees must be approved by Mr. Mayweather," according to the complaint.
According to the lawsuit, Barlow was listed as regis- tered agent; both defendants and Mayweather were listed as members of the board of di-

rectors.
Around the same date,
Mayweather opened a bank account for the foundation. Ac- cording to the complaint, the account had a balance of $13,845.19 on the morning of Sept. 11.
The lawsuit claims Barlow made seven teller withdrawals, totaling about $8,600, from the account on that date and used the account's debit card to spend about $4,500 on several other transactions. By Sept. 12, the account had a balance of $722.96.
Mayweather and the foundation sent correspon- dence to Barlow around Sept. 15 "ordering her to cease and desist all contact with Mr. Mayweather" and explaining that the agreement was termi- nated, according to the com- plaint.
"Despite the correspon- dence, Barlow continued to at- tempt to be involved in Mr. Mayweather's dealings," the lawsuit alleges.
Fans of the struggling, 1-2 Seattle Seahawks have launched a GoFundMe account in hopes of raising enough funds to en- tice singer Ciara to end her re- lationship with star quarterback Russell Wilson.
USA Today reports some fans are convinced the only way for Wilson to get back on track and snap out of a funk where he has seen him thrown nearly as many interceptions as touchdown passes over the first two weeks of the season is for him to put some distance between himself and the sultry singer.
To that end, creators of the fund were hoping to raise a min- imum of $50,000 to help Ciara "jumpstart" her career and en- sure "she has no time to be in a relationship." (The account has since been suspended).
In her detractors mind, the Ciara curse seems real. They point to how well ex-fiancé Fu- ture has been doing ever since he did what they are now plead- ing with Wilson to do.
