Person Of Interest Released In Murder Investigation

2 Hit After Suspects Shoot Into Crowd
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that the person of interest in the mur- der of Travis Ware early Thursday morning has been interviewed and released by detectives.
Ralph Leon Pearson was located, and brought into headquarters for questioning. After the process, he was re- leased and detectives said they are continuing their investiga- tion into the homicide.
Ware was with a group of men inside an apartment in Brandon when an argument erupted, and Ware was shot.
Tampa Police are investigat- ing the shooting of a 17-year- old male Saturday afternoon in the Sulphur Springs commu- nity.
Police said the shooting oc- curred at 1808 North 18th street, and the victim, Nigel Williams, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they have gotten conflicting stories about what happened to cause the shoot- ing, the identity of possible sus- pects and a suspect vehicle.
Two people were injured after someone fired into a crowd Saturday night. The in- cident took place in Highland Pines Saturday night.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, a crowd of people were gathered at the in- tersection of N. 49th Street and E. 26th Avenue, around 10 p.m. For undetermined rea- sons, two men in a beige col- ored SUV drove by and fired several shots into the crowd.
Ms. Antonika Latrice Wimberly, 30, and Doquan MacCloud, 20, both of Tampa, both received non-life threatening injuries. They were both treated at the scene by Tampa Fire Rescue and transported to local hospitals.
A spokesperson said the Tampa Police Department said detectives are conducting an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the depart- ment at (813) 231-6031.

Family Dollar Robbery Suspect Caught
Tampa Police have arrested and charged Abdul Farid Naim Muhammad, 38, with the robbery of the ABC Liquor Store on East Hillsborough Avenue on Sunday, April 19th.
Detectives received a tip from the community that led them to Muhammad. He was found at a local hospital being treated for a gunshot wound. Detectives said Muhammad allegedly told hospital staff he had been shot during a robbery.
The investigation revealed Muhammad was a current employee of the ABC Liquor Store on West Kennedy Boule- vard.

Twenty-seven people were taken into custody last week and charged with marriage fraud. The scam involved brin- ing immigrants into the coun- try illegally.
The federal investigation fo- cused on suspects in Florida in- cluding the organizers, the recruiters, and unlawful immi- grants.
Three of the individuals taken into custody are Inaldo Chavez, 57, and Caridad Baez, 50, both of Hialeah, and Masiel Puron, 33, of Marathon. They were all ac- cused of charging a fee to arrange fraudulent marriages between undocumented aliens and U. S. citizens. They are also accused of notarizing false mar- riage licenses, completing nec- essary immigration paperwork and preparing the participants for their U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services inter- views.
The arranged marriages took place between 2011 and 2014. The investigation was con- ducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Last Thursday, Tampa Po- lice officers reported they ar- rested a robbery suspect as he was counting the money he stole.
Police said Noble Rogers, 51, entered the Family Dollar Store at 4002 50th Street at 3:15 p. m., went behind the counter and confronted store employees.
Rogers allegedly threat- ened to shoot the employees and demanded money. He im- plied he had a weapon, but no one in the store saw it. The employees did as Rogers commanded and he fled in a green GMC truck.
Officers, who had been given a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle, spot- ted it in the 3100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boule- vard pulled over to the side of

the road.
The driver matched the de-
scription of the robbery sus- pect, and as officers approached the vehicle, they reported seeing Rogers counting money inside the truck.
Witnesses positively identi- fied Rogers as the suspect and he was arrested.

In Death Of 4-Year-Old
The Manatee County Sher- iff’s Office announced the ar- rest of a woman and her boyfriend on charges of aggra- vated manslaughter in the death of her son.
Deputies said Dianna Marr, 32 and Trevor Car- darelle, 25, were charged Thursday night.
On April 12th when deputies when to Marr’s home, they reported finding 4-year-old Alexander Marr unrespon- sive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Last Wednesday, Car-
darelle was charged with cap- ital sexual battery for assaulting a female under the age of 12.
32-year-old Tampa woman was arrested after she hit two parked police cars. The officers were not in their vehicles at the time of the crash.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Saturday, officers were investigating an incident involved a driver suspected of driving under the influence at the intersection of Kennedy Blvd., and Orleans Street. The two marked police cruisers were facing Kennedy Blvd, with their strobe lights activated.
Ms. Nicole Marie Schnell
was driving her 2012 Ford Mustang eastbound on Kennedy Blvd., when she re- portedly failed to see the police cars. She is alleged to have hit one of the cars, which caused it to be displaced and it struck the other vehicle.
Ms. Schnell was taken into custody and charged with DUI.
