Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Is Auctioning Off His Incredible Memorabilia For Charity
Former NBA Star Mike
  Bibby Being Investigated
For Alleged Sexual Abuse
As Kareem Abdul-Jab- bar says on his website, it usually isn’t a good sign when you hear that a retired sports star is auctioning off all of their memorabilia — it typically means that some- thing has gone terribly wrong when it comes to their finances.
KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR
In the case of Abdul- Jabbar, however, that’s not the case. In fact, the Lakers legend’s decision to part with some of his most prized pos- session is good news for those who will ultimately benefit from it, i.e. disadvan- taged school kids who will be given an opportunity to at- tend Abdul-Jabbar’s week-long educational camp.
Abdul-Jabbar has placed some of his most prized possession up for auc- tion, with proceeds going to the Skyhook Foundation. The funds raised by the auc- tion will take underprivi- leged students from the Los Angeles area on an outdoor excursion in the Angeles Na- tional Forest to learn about science, technology and en- gineering.
Former NBA point guard Mike Bibby is being accused of sexually assaulting a high school teacher at the Arizona school where he coaches bas- ketball.
According to the Arizona Republic, a female teacher claims that Bibby—the num- ber two pick in the 1998 draft who is now the the head coach of the boys basketball team at Shadow Mountain High School—grabbed her and then pulled her into his car where he proceeded to grind up on her. The woman claims that the incident happened in Feb- ruary 2017. She filed a re- straining order against him in February 2019.
Bibby, 40, denies all of the allegations against him.
The Republic notes that Bibby is being investigated by the Phoenix Police Depart- ment. The Paradise Valley School District has also

launched an internal investi- gation.
“I can say with pretty much certainty this alleged in- cident didn’t happen and that will be shown down the road,” Donald Harris, Bibby’s lawyer, told the Arizona Re- public.
Because the school was re- cently made aware of the alle- gations, Bibby, who has been with the school for six years, recently led the Shadow Mountain team to its fourth consecutive title.
