Grambling Is 6-1 After Blowing Out Alabama A&M
Grambling vs. Alabama A&M
HUNTSVILLE — Bulldog fans, there is a glimmer of light at the end of the East Division tunnel.
Yes, despite Saturday’s 56-17 loss to Grambling, the Bulldogs are still in contention for the SWAC East title.
Alcorn State and Jackson State are on top at 3-4 and they play each other Nov. 19, the final game of the season.
Meanwhile, on Saturday the Bulldogs ran into the buzzsaw that is Grambling State. The Tigers are 6-1 with their lone loss coming in a 31-21 defeat at Arizona.
Only Alcorn and Arizona put more points up against Gram- bling – the SWAC’s No. 1 team in total defense and offense – than did Alabama A&M.
With Grambling leading 14-0 in the second quarter, Nick Car- den cut the gap to 14-3 with his 21-yard field goal.
However, the Tigers put an- other touchdown on the board with a 57-yard fumble return and a 28-10 lead with 47 sec- onds to go. And from then on, the Grambling Tigers led by quarterback Kincaid never looked back.

Refs kneel during national anthem. White kicker takes to so- cial media in protest.
An Arkansas-Pine Bluff foot- ball player took to social media to criticize referees who kneeled during the national anthem dur- ing a recent college football game.
Freshman kicker Sam Beavers shared his disappoint- ment on Twitter in reaction to a
photo of two game officials de- ciding to kneel as the Star-Span- gled Banner played prior to the start of the Virginia Union-Vir- ginia State game on Saturday. “I’m a bit tired of this,” Beavers wrote. “If you don’t like it, leave #Murcia #USA utterly class- less.”
