CrimeMan Charged With Murder Of
Man Pleads Guilty To Possession Of A Firearm

A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty in federal court to being in possession of a firearm and ammunition last week. He is facing a maximum of 10 years in federal prison.
According to court docu- ments, on August 12 2016, an individual called 9-1-1 to report a road rage incident on Busch Blvd., in Tampa. The person saidamaninacarhadcuthim off and then waved a gun at him. A Tampa Police officer re- sponded to the 9-1-1 ca11 and obtained a description of the vehicle. The officer located the vehicle and pulled it over. Ahmid Cecil Lewis was driv- ing the vehicle and was the only person in it.
After searching the car, the officer found a loaded .40 cal- iber pistol under the driver’s seat. At the time of the discov- ery of the weapon, Lewis was a convicted felon and could not lawfully possess a weapon. He was charged under federal law.
No sentencing date has been set in connection with the case.
Teenager Charged With Having Gun On School Campus
A 17-year-old student was arrested and charged with having a firearm on campus. The arrest took place last Fri- day.
According to police, the in- cident took place at Blooming- dale High School, 1700 Bloomingdale Avenue, in Val- rico, around 12:45 p.m. School administrators received an anonymous tip about a stu- dent having a gun in his book bag. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office School Re- source Officer made contact with Antonio Deakwon Simon, of Tampa. The officer searched Simon’s book bag and found a loaded Glock 43 inside the book bag. Simon was taken into custody and charged with having a firearm on school grounds and being a minor in possession of a firearm.
Elderly Woman Kills Mom Then Herself
Teenager At Hotel
The St. Petersburg Police De- partment said a 69-year-old woman apparently killed her mother and then herself. The incident took place on Sunday.
According to police, a 19- year-old woman returned to her apartment at the Osprey Pointe Apartments to find her grand- mother and great grandmother
dead. Both had suffered gun- shot wounds.
Detectives conducting the in- vestigation said they believe Ms. Elizabeth Mitchell fa- tally shot her mother, Ms. Cur- ley Williams. All three of the women lived in the apartment, police said. The investigation is continuing.

... Charged with second- degree murder
Tampa Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connec- tion with the murder of a teenager. The murder took place on Sunday, October 30th, at a hotel on E. Busch Blvd.
According to police, infor- mation obtained by detectives resulted in them obtaining a warrant for Leroy Liv- ingston Johnson, of Tampa. Police obtained the warrant early Saturday morn- ing. Shortly before 9 a. m., Sat- urday, Johnson was observed walking down the street in the 4100 block of E. Linebaugh Avenue. Police at- tempted to arrest him, but he ran. After a foot pursue, Johnson was taken into cus- tody and is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail on a $264,500 bond.

Suspect Arrested In Deadly Hit And Run Accident

Sunday, October 30th. Shortly before 4 p. m., the 17-year-old was fatally wounded. When police arrived, they found Stacy on the ground and im- mediately began performing CPR.
Tampa Fire Rescue medics arrived, but Stacy did not sur- vive. Another man was also shot, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening. The name of the second victim was not released, police said.
Johnson was charged with second-degree murder in con- nection with the death. He was also charged with attempted second-degree murder, resist- ing arrest without violence, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a controlled sub- stance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, and shooting at within or into a vehicle, among other charges.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 71-year- old man in connection with a traffic accident last weekend. The arrest came about after an anonymous tip was called in to Heartland Crime Stoppers on Thursday.
Charles “Charlie” Lewis
was taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and leaving the scene of an ac- cident involving serious injury.
The accident took place around 12:40 a.m., on October 29th, in the grass median off of westbound State Road 60 in Lake Wales.
Police said Lewis was driv- ing a truck when he struck Mrs. Jessica Enchautegui- Otero and Deputy Sheriff Adam Pennell. After striking the pair, the driver of the truck fled the scene without stop- ping.
Mrs. Enchautegui-Otero and Deputy Pennell were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

area. They performed a traffic stop and began talking to the driver, identified as Lewis.
During the conversation, Lewis told police that he was at a party last Friday night where he consumed beers and then drove home. He told them he knew he had hit something, but didn’t know what he hit.
He also expressed remorse for causing the death of En- chautegui-Otero and injur- ing Deputy Pennell, police said.
Police said if impairment can be proven, further charges will be added. The investiga- tion is continuing.
Man Charged With Exposure Of Sexual Organs

A 24-year-old man has been taken into custody and charged with exposure of sexual organs. After being arrested, he was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail and his bond was set at $4,000.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the in- cidents took place between July and October, in the Dupree Lakes and Glendale Villas Sub- divisions in Land O’ Lakes.
On four separate occasions, a man driving a blue PT Cruiser pulled up to the victims and asked for directions while he was masturbating.
After receiving reports, de- tectives followed leads that led to Cody Hase. Police also
learned that Hase’ wife hadaPT Cruiser regis- tered in her name. This in- formation was a key compo- nent to solving the crime, po- licesaid.

Last Wednesday, Hase was located in Hillsborough County. He was interviewed and admitted to the offenses. He was then taken into custody, police said.
