On Saturday, September 21st, Hillsborough County will host a symposium for care- givers. The event will take place at the Phyllis Busansky Adult Day Services Center, 4102 W. Spruce Street, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The workshop is a free health fair and resource sym- posium to provide informa- tion, perspective, and advice to
HBCU News
caregivers. Held annually, it is being presented by Hillsbor- ough County’s Aging Services.
It is designed to target those who take care of people with debilitating conditions such as dementia.
It highlights the reality that caring for a family member of loved one with serious physi- cal or mental challenges can take an emotional, financial,
and physical toll on the care- giver.
The workshop offers tips, outlines resources, and brings together experts and others facing similar situations in a relaxed, informative atmos- phere.
