Tampa Bay Chapter:
Gospel Music Workshop Of America Celebrates 26th Anniversary
The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) will have their 26th Anniversary Cele- bration on Saturday, Septem- ber 21, 2019. The 5 p. m. event will be held at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St., Rev. Dr. Evan Burrows, Senior Pastor.
The Florida Fellowship Choir F2 will be the guest choir, with members from across the State of Florida. They are directed by Minis- ter Corey Edwards, for- merly of Bible-Based Fellowship Church.
The Gospel Music Work- shop of America is an organi-
zation of various musical tal- ents. It promotes the oppor- tunity for persons to study through the development of programs and workshops to enhance the ministry of music and performing arts.
The national organization of GMWA was founded in 1967 by the late Rev. James Cleveland. It is the largest artistic organization of its kind in the world, with ap- proximately 50,000 members in more than 185 chapters in the United States, United Kingdom, the Caribbean, Eu- rope and Asia.
The Tampa Bay Chapter was founded in September 1993. The choir recently re-
turned from Washington, D. C., where the national con- vention was held.
Anyone is welcome to be a part of the choir. You must
have a willingness to serve the Lord. Rehearsals are every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at New Mt. Zion M. B. Church, 2511 E. Columbus
