TV Editor Thinks This Season’s Shows Have Too Many Brown- Skinned People
Nellie Andreeva, the TV editor for Deadline.
This year’s TV pilot series will be the most diverse in years, but Nellie Andreeva, the TV editor for Deadline, thinks there’s just a little too much diversity.
In an article that is filled with every last white tear you could possibly imagine, An- dreeva lamented the lack of opportunities for white actors during this upcoming pilot season.
Yes, you read correctly. The multicultural crew has taken over television, and OMG, white people won’t have jobs. The world is com- ing to an end.
“Instead of opening the field for actors of any race to compete for any role in a col- orblind manner, there has been a significant number of parts designated as ethnic this year, making them off- limits for Caucasian actors, some agents signal. Many pilot characters this year were listed as open to all ethnicities, but when reps would call to inquire about an actor submission, they frequently have been told that only non-Caucasian actors would be considered,” Andreeva wrote.
Andreeva even had the audacity to pinpoint where roles that were written for white actors eventually had actors of other ethnicities cast in them.

‘Couples Therapy’ The Movie Airs Tonight (Monday) On BET
COUPLES THERAPY
Prince Is Being Sued
In January, Syleena Johnson talked about an up- coming movie called “Couples Therapy” based on her latest album of the same name, and now it’s coming to a small screen near you!
On March 30th at 8pm
EST, “Couples Therapy” (which is produced by Syleena) will air on BET. The film was directed by Tangie B. Moore and stars Syleena and other R&B artists Leela James, Dave Hollister and Willie Taylor.
Prince is usually the one suing others over his likeli- ness, but this time he finds himself in the defendant's chair over allegations that he stole the services of an artist.
Jolene Cherry, one of the producers who helped dis- cover Lady Gaga, states that she discovered ‘The Voice’ contestant, Judith Hill, and after her popularity from the show, she signed her to an ex- clusive contract. Cherry claims that Prince went be- hind her back and recorded a free 11-song album with the 2013 contestant.
The album was released to the public on Monday.
Cherry hired attorney Larry Stein, and is going after Prince for regular and punitive damages his alleged sneaky behavior.

Haviland, notes, “Judith is an independent artist, not bound by contract to anyone.” Haviland says in a statement to Gossip Cop that Cherry’s “lawsuit is crazy,” adding, “Prince has done absolutely nothing wrong. This may be a hard case for Cherry, espe- cially since artists release free, promotional music all the time. Since this was not a commercial release, we’re thinking Prince has a great argument!
