After Illness Forced Her From First Passion, Master Notary Shifted Gears
 BY MONIQUE STAMPS Staff Writer
Although she was born in St. Pe- tersburg, Vanessa Williams grew up in Tampa. At a young age she found her first passion, hairdressing and did it for over 29 years locally.
A career-ending medical condition forced her to retire from what she loved. But Williams was still young and was eager to rebrand herself. So she earned her paralegal degree, and decided to become a master notary.
The name of her new company is
Miss Vee’s Mobile Notary and Loan Signing Agent. Services offered in- clude loan signing agent, assistance with simple divorce, immigration, es- tate planning and document creation.
She has also registered with several title companies so she can help peo-

Williams says notaries are always needed by lawyers, hospitals, realtors, and everyday people. Because of her paralegal training she can offer help to many different types of businesses and complicated matters.
While she could go with any of the major law firms in Tampa, Williams has decided she would like to stick with setting her own schedule like she did when she was a hairdresser.
As her business name states, her business is mobile, meaning she will come to you. Eventually, Williams wants to grow and have a physical lo- cation so she can hire more master notaries to work for her.
Williams states that “this has been a project in motion for years.” She states, “I received my paralegal de-
gree in 2019, but it was a struggle be- cause I don’t have much family to help. I am thankful that I made it through school. God chose this path for me.”
“I look at this as a way to help the community and help people who need help, but don’t know what or how to do it.”

Williams is a single mother of three boys, Malachi, Ra’Vaughn and Nehemiah Hicks. She gradu- ated from Tampa Bay Tech and re- ceived her cosmetology license the next year.
