Mother Stevens was prede- ceased by: her husband, Freder- ick G. Stevens, Jr.; parents, Lawson and Sarah Johnson; son, Willie L. Melton; sisters, Bessie Reed and Margaret Walker; brothers, Charles Eddie and Leroy Johnson; grand- mother, Bertha Guess; son-in- law, Willie Ray Mason; other family members to include step- brothers, stepsisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
She leaves many precious fond memories with: her sons, Homer T. Patrick, Jr. (Mar- vene), and Lycurgus Patrick (Faye); daughter, Marva Patrick Mason; grandchildren, Aundre Melton (Shirley), Michael Melton (Joyce), Dwayne Melton, Antonio Payne, LaShon Wilkins (Michael), LaVon Patrick, Dione Neal (Rev. Arthur), Tanya Tyson (David), Homer T. MS. ARYELLE M. OXENDINE
A Celebration of Life for Ms. Aryelle M. Oxendine who passed May 5, 2017 will be held Mon- day, May 15, 2017 at River Hills Church of God, 6310 E. Sligh Ave., Tampa, FL 33617 at 12 noon. Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a. m. before the funeral at the church.
Aryelle Monique Oxendine was born October 3, 1995 to Samuel B. and Melissa V. Oxen- dine. She was born and raised in Tampa, FL and was educated in the Hillsborough County School District, graduating from Howard W. Blake H. S. Class of 2013. While in attendance, she participated in activities involv- ing Student Gov’t Association, TV Production, Cheerleading and Flag Football. After gradua- tion she attended Valencia and Hillsborough Community Col- lege(s) and Saint Petersburg Junior College, where she pur- sued a degree in Education with a concentration in Special Edu- cation.
Aryelle’s ambiance was infec- tious, you were guaranteed to feel her passion, love and kind- ness. She was loved and well re- spected amongst a multitude of family and friends. She had such a zest for life and living. She un- selfishly embraced those she en- countered, with her affectionately beautiful, bright smile and personality. As a daughter and sister Aryelle was a source of immeasurable joy for her parents and her brother. For her father she was the apple of his eye and will forever be his “Girlie Girl.” Aryelle was her mother’s best friend, ally and most precious treasure. As a sis- ter, she always had her brother’s back as she consid- ered him “the love of her life.”
Aryelle was employed with Florida Autism Center of Excel- lence (F.A.C.E.) as a Teacher’s Assistant, in the middle school transition class, for which she was known to always be in a good spirit and absolutely adored her students. Her pas- sion for the Autism population was obvious through her dedi- cation to the students. With her giving heart and spirited nature and her amazing passion to reach the hearts of children, she volunteered as a Cheerleading Coach with the Brandon Ravens and Progress Village Panthers.
Aryelle leaves to mourn: her parents, Samuel B. and Melissa V. Oxendine; her brother, Samuel A. Oxendine; along with her grandparents, Heriberto and Soryda Verdejo; grandfa- ther, James W. Oxendine, Sr. (Jackie); grandmother, Myrtle J. Gessner; great grandmother, Georgiana S. Hall; a host of
great aunts and uncles; godpar- ents/uncle and aunt, Clarence and Hope Watson; uncle, Eddie Verdejo; aunt, Tiana Verdejo; uncles, Kenney Oxedine (Ron- nie), Andre M. Baxter, Patrick S. Oxendine (Christine), Christo- pher M. Oxendine (MaryBeth), James W. Oxedine, II (Karen), Vaugh Richardson, Jonathan W. Oxendine; aunt, Lynn A. Oxen- dine; extended family, Trista, Tia, and Toddlyn High, Donte Woodson, along with a host of cousins and special friends who are also mourning her loss and will forever honor her memory.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 11:45 a. m. Interment will follow the service at The Garden of Memo- ries Cemetery.

MR. THEODORE “TED” WASHINGTON, SR.
Mr. Theodore (TED) Washington, Sr., well known throughout Tampa, passed away May 8, 2017 at the age of 69.
Born February 16, 1948 in Tampa, Washington was an outstanding football player, who attended George S. Mid- dleton High School and grad- uated in 1968.
He left Tampa and went to play football at Mississippi Valley State, then was drafted in the NFL by the Houston Oilers in 1972. He played 11 seasons with the Oilers, as outside linebacker.
Service is scheduled for May 13, 2017, at Weatherly - Studdard Memorial Funeral Home, Vanity Fair Ave., But- ler, AL 36904.
MR. KENNETH LENARD COUNCIL
Mr. Kenneth Lenard Coun- cil of Tampa, Florida, ended a 5-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was 64.
Born October 7, 1952, Ken- neth, a loving father and de- voted companion to his girlfriend of four years, Sherri LaShawn Jones of Tampa, was a Tampa native and life-long resident of the Bay Area. He at- tended Hillsborough County Public Schools and graduated from King High School in 1971.
He served as a Marksman Sharpshooter in the United States Army, briefly ran a bicy- cle shop to build and repair bikes for under privileged chil- dren in Tampa and spent sev- eral years as a truck driver before retiring due to disabil- ity.
He is survived by: his chil- dren, Kennetha Council of Daytona, Kenneth Council, Jr. and Ali Council of Knoxville, Tennessee, Angel Young and husband, Rayshad Young of Orlando, Jolanda Blackmon of Orlando, Kareemah Lewis of Atlanta, GA, and Quatavia Wil- son of Tampa; his brother, John S. Cole and wife, Sylvia Figgers-Cole of Tallahassee; and his estranged wife, Rove- nia Council of Tampa; as well as his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
