 Straz Center Offers FREE Arts Legacy REMIX Performances
 REMIX performances on the Riverwalk Stage, which will continue through May. Arts Legacy REMIX celebrates the many varied cultures and tal- ented local artists who reside in the Tampa Bay area. Each per- formance focuses on a different theme.
Friday, May 21: Arts Legacy REMIX: Jazz, Jazz, Jazz
At this performance the focus will be on jazz, America’s greatest contribution to the musical landscape, with an em- phasis on the big band sounds of Afro Latin Jazz. The Straz High School Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra will perform, as well as other acts.
All Arts Legacy REMIX per- formances will be held on Fri- days,7:30to9p.m.onthe Riverwalk Stage. Tickets are free and required in advance at www.strazcen-ter.org.
The Straz Center has re- ceived a seal of approval from Tampa General Hospital’s con- sulting service, TGH Preven-
tion Response Outreach (TPRO), for our campus-wide reopening protocols. This part- nership with TPRO will help to keep everyone safe and healthy while on The Straz campus.
‘Voices Of The Community’ Virtual Gathering
The Straz presents Voices of the Community Town Hall - Dance, Dance, Dance, a virtual town hall meeting, on Thursday, May 27,at8p.m.
Voices of the Community is held on the fourth Thursday of every month. Each meeting is FREE, held on Facebook Live and features different presen- ters and themes, with the con- sistent goal of amplifying Black voices.
Voices of the Community events provide a safe space for sharing stories and experiences, cultivating re- lationships and highlighting
senting a broad range of the African American tapestry of dance in the Tampa Bay area. The discussion will center around how the art form helped define the communal and cultural richness of our communities of color.
