Speculation: Councilman
Gudes May Become Chair
Rumors have been circulating that City Councilman Orlando Gudes may be elected chairman of the Board. The Board holds elec- tion on Thursday, May 6, 2021, during its regular meeting.
When contacted about the possibility, Councilman Gudes said he didn’t know about it, but he “welcomes the opportunity to serve the community” with his colleagues.
Gudes, a retired City of Tampa Police Officer, has been an elected official since May of 2019. He is up for re-election in 2023.
