Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s Widow, Launches 'Mambacita' Clothing Line
VANESSA BRYANT
Just weeks after announc- ing that Kobe Bryant’s estate has parted ways with Nike, the late NBA star’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, announced on Friday the introduction of her Mambacita clothing line.
Bryant said on her Insta- gram account that she will re- lease the collection May 1, what would have been the 15th birth- day of Gianna, or “Gigi,” Kobe and Vanessa’s daugh- ter who died along with Kobe in a Jan. 26, 2020, helicopter crash.
Bryant said that 100% of the proceeds will go to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, the nonprofit started in the memory of Kobe and Gigi to benefit under- served youth in sports.
Richard Sherman’s
Blunt Assessment Of
Departure Was ‘Blown

Out Of Proportion’
From Ankle Sprain
Richard Sherman on Saturday named the four NFL teams with whom he has been in contact this offseason. One of the teams on the list was the Seattle Seahawks.
Given that Sherman left the Seahawks after the 2017 season and spent the last three with their NFC West rivals in San Francisco, many thought Sherman had something against Seattle. But Sherman obviously is open to a return to them, and Seahawks person- nel have some interest as well.
Seahawks GM John Schneider said Saturday that

the team was “blown out of proportion.”
Seahawks coach Pete Car- roll even said he has talked with Sherman this offseason.
LeBron James re- turned Saturday night after the longest injury layoff of his career, and he looked fairly rust-free with that fact con- sidered. However, what he said after the game probably won’t make a lot of Los Ange- les Lakers fans feel particu- larly comforted.
James said he was “more stressful” than he’d ever been in his time away with a high ankle sprain, but he added that he does not really antic- ipate being in peak health ever again.
“I know getting back to

100% is impossible. I’ll never get back to 100% in my ca- reer,” James said, via Mark Medina of USA Today. “But I felt comfortable where I knew I could get on the floor and help my team win.”
Deshaun Watson May Not Play In NFL In 2021?
Shaq Has Hot Take
While there has been a lot of discussion about Deshaun Watson as a trade candidate, it sounds entirely possible that he may not even play in the NFL this season.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that there are people within the league who believe Watson has not only played his last game for the Houston Texans, but that Watson may not even play in the NFL in 2021. Schefter adds that this thinking in- formed Houston’s decision to use its third-round pick, the earliest pick the Texans held, on quarterback Davis Mills.
While Watson’s trade de- mand has unsettled the Tex- ans, the major point of uncertainty stems from the 22 civil lawsuits Watson is fac- ing alleging sexual assault. A

Shaqir O’Neal is joining a list of celebrity athletes across the country who have commit- ted to the HBCU legacy. On Fri- day, the youngest son of NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal announced that he will be heading to Texas Southern University.
“I just wanted to change the narrative of culture and do something new. A lot of people are going to follow me,” O’Neal said during an interview. “You can expect a lot of buckets,” he said in the interview. “I’m try- ing to get to the league.”

league investigation is ongo- ing, as are the legal proceed- ings. It is unknown when any of those investigations might be resolved, throwing Wat- son’s season into uncertainty.
The Texans are keeping things close to the vest, so much so that the quarterback they drafted didn’t see it com- ing. At this rate, Mills might be in for a bigger role than an- ticipated very quickly.
The Shaquille O’Neal- Kobe Bryant Los Angeles Lakers were easily one of the greatest teams in NBA his- tory, winning three straight championships. But O’Neal believes they could have won more than double that if they had stayed together longer.
O’Neal appeared this week on Showtime’s “All The Smoke” podcast. During the episode, the Hall of Fame big man was asked how many more rings he could have won with Bryant had they stayed together in Los Ange- les.
“Seven,” O’Neal replied. “The reason why I got traded, it wasn’t about me and Kobe
