Kevin Durant Signs Big 2-Year
Robertson Shot Twice In Leg
Deal With Golden State; OKC
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Do- minique Robertson was shot twice in the leg by an unknown suspect while out- side an apartment building in Loma Linda, California, last Thursday morning, ac- cording to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Robertson appears to be okay.
Robertson contacted deputies after he was being treated for his wounds at Loma Linda University Med- ical Center.
According to the sheriff's department, deputies inves- tigating the incident were unable to locate evidence or establish a crime scene where the shooting allegedly took place. Neighbors living in the vicinity told deputies
leased from the hospital last Friday.
The Buccaneers issued a statement about the inci- dent: "We are aware of the reports concerning Do- minique Robertson. We can confirm that he has been released from the hospital and is at home resting. We are in the process of gather- ing more information, but our primary concern is for Dominique's health and well-being."
Robertson signed with the Buccaneers as an un- drafted free agent in May after playing for West Geor- gia last year. He appeared in four games for Texas Tech in 2014. Prior to that, he at- tended Riverside Commu- nity College and East Redlands High School.
Tarvaris Jackson Says He’s Broke, Requests A Public Defender
TARVARIS JACKSON
Former Seahawks, Vikings and Bills quarterback Tarvaris Jackson made more than $12 million in his NFL career, but now he says he’s so broke that he can’t even afford a lawyer to de- fend him against charges that he threatened to kill his wife.
Jackson requested a public defender because he can’t afford an attorney.
In court documents, Jackson says he has no in- come, savings or invest- ments. His only asset is a car worth $100,000.
The judge overseeing Jackson’s case denied the request for the public de- fender, perhaps reasoning that after he made $1.5 mil- lion with the Seahawks last year and found a way to buy that car, Jackson can find a way to pay a lawyer, too.
The 33-year-old Jackson was a second-round draft pick of the Vikings in 2006 and has been in the NFL since. He is not currently under contract, and given the legal issues hanging over his head, his NFL career is pro- bably over.

they did not hear gunshots or other disturbances near the time of the shooting.
According to Deputy Olivia Bozek, Robertson suffered injuries to his back, buttocks and leg. Who caused the shooting remains under investigation, she said.
Kevin Durant an- nounced that he has signed with the Golden State War- riors, ending speculation as to where his free agency op- tion would land him.
Durant’s surprising—and epic—decision ends a week- end filled with meetings with six NBA teams, including the San Antonio Spurs, Los Ange- les Clippers, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. Durant an- nounced his decision to sign with the Warriors for a two- year, $54.3 million dollar deal on The Players’ Tribune, the website started by former New York Yankee, Derek Jeter, in a blog post entitled, “My Next Chapter.”

Former Bills Draft Pick Kyle Calloway
Dies After Being Struck By Train
Found Asleep In Car After Driving Into Pond
Kyle Calloway – a 2010 seventh-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills – was killed Saturday after being struck by a train in Arizona.
According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, Calloway was jogging near railroad tracks in Vail, Ariz. when a train hit him from behind and killed him.
His father, Ed, told the Gazette that Calloway liked to run along the tracks and was presumably crossing dif- ferent portions of the tracks to avoid mud along his route.
Calloway was selected by the Bills with the 216th over- all pick of the 2010 NFL Draft out of the University of Iowa. He played in three pre-

The Florida Times-Union reports that Robinson was found asleep behind the wheelof a car by police re- sponding to reports about a car crashing into a pond early on Sunday morning. Neither Robinson nor his passenger were hurt.
Per the responding offi- cer, Robinson woke up and then went back to sleep after a knock on the window be- fore eventually being roused from his slumber. The police report adds that both Robinson and the other passenger were reluctant to exit the vehicle despite the officer telling them that the car was sinking into the pond.
According to the report, Robinson was screened by two officers and found not to be intoxicated. In a post to
DENARD ROBINSON Twitter, Robinson indi-
cated that he fell asleep at the wheel.
“I just wanted to let everyone know that I was in- volved in a single-car acci- dent on Saturday night, and thankfully, everyone was safe and remained un- harmed,” Robinson said. “I thank God every single day for the opportunities he has presented me with and I’m grateful every morning to wake up healthy. I should not have been driving that late or when I was that tired, but again, I’m just glad that everyone was safe. God Bless.

Warriors Agree To Deal With David West
Power forward David West has agreed to a one- year contract for the veterans minimum with the Golden State Warriors, according to multiple reports.
The Warriors, who have a commitment from Kevin Durant to sign with the team, will lose Harrison Barnes after rescinding their rights to the forward, who plans to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.
Barnes posted a farewell to the Warriors on Twitter on Tuesday.
West, a 13-year veteran, opted out of a $12.6 million deal with the Indiana Pacers last summer to join the San Antonio Spurs for a veteran- minimum contract worth ap- proximately $1.5 million.

He averaged 7.1 points and 4.0 rebounds on 54.4 percent shooting as a key cog on a San Antonio bench that produced an NBA-best plus-10.9 net rating. That rating was the best by a bench since the shortened 2011-12 season, when the Chicago Bulls led the NBA with a plus-12.7 mark.
