Inducted Into Duke Hall Of Fame
Mike James has become a pioneer in asking the NFL for permission to use mari- juana as a painkiller. He spoke out about the dangers of opi- oids and how effective mari- juana can be with the show’s host Dr. Sanjay Gupta. He is one of two Miami Hurri- canes alums hoping to be able to use marijuana as a painkiller alternative.
James’ situation and his background were repeatedly highlighted throughout the show. He was initially given opioid painkillers after frac- turing his ankle in a win, iron- ically over the Dolphins, on Monday Night Football in No- vember 2013.

joined 7,000 Philadelphia high school students, along with celebrities, performers and athletes to celebrate the pursuit of higher education on Wednesday.
The former First Lady kicked off her fifth annual College Signing Day at Tem- ple University.
This year, there were a record 2,000 College Signing Day events planned in all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico, with hundreds of thousands of students participating across the country and on so- cial media.
Mrs. Obama was joined by more than 30 stars, ath- letes and performing artists, including: Zendaya, Ro- bert De Niro, Camila Ca- bello, Questlove, Anthony Mackie, Janelle Monae and former WNBA player, Lindsey Harding.

She was chosen by her alma mater, Duke University to be inducted into its Hall of Fame in September. Duke re- tired her jersey number (10) in 2008, becoming only the second Duke women's bas- ketball player to be bestowed that honor.
Her parents are Tampa native Lillian Andrews Ponquinette and Michael Harding of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. William ‘Billy’ and Mrs. Nancy Andrews.

Found Shot To Death
Authorities say a former Green Bay Packers player has been found shot to death in his home in Alabama.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office says former Packers defensive lineman Carlos Gray was found- shortly before 10 p.m. Mon- day near Birmingham, Ala. The 25-year-old is a native of Pinson, Ala.
Gray, a defensive tackle, was signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He was released after training camp when the team made final cuts to reduce its

roster to 53 players, a team spokesman said Tuesday. He was not re-signed.
Sheriff’s deputies and Cen- ter Point Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the house after a friend found Gray wounded and unresponsive.
