Quincy Jones Concert Removes Michael Jackson References, Sparking Calls For Refunds
Aretha Franklin’s Estate Selling Off Property To Help Eliminate $5M Tax Debt
Aretha Franklin‘s estate apparently has some money issues. It’s seeking the court’s permission to put up some of its land for sale in order to raise funds to pay off debt it owes.
The amount of the debt the late singer’s estate owes in $5.2 million. The plan, if the court allows it, is to sell off a

vacant lot Franklin owns in Bloomfield, Michigan
Franklin purchased the 1.05 acre lot several years ago; the estate is offering it for $1.4 million. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the price tag will also get the buyer a house that’s being built on the land as well.
Steve And Marjorie Harvey Speak Out About Divorce Rumors
Divorce rumors have plagued Steve and Mar- jorie Harvey recently, but they’re as mystified about the headlines as everyone else.
Via Instagram, Marjorie posted a video of their 28- year-old son, Broderick Harvey, Jr., telling them that he heard they’re break- ing up. Marjorie and Steve, who attended the Kentucky Derby together, laughed it off, asking Brod- erick where that news came

from. Underlining the back- and-forth was a tongue in
cheek notion that they were in on it.
Though rumors of the end of the Harveys’ marriage have been all over the head- lines, the couple have seemed pretty unbothered, attending various events together, in- cluding the Trifecta Gala that Steve hosted.
Marjorie Harvey also posted videos and pictures of her and Steve at the Race for the Roses yesterday (May 4). Clearly, they’re doing fine.
A Quincy Jones concert has rebranded by removing the name of Michael Jack- son, and concertgoers are de- manding refunds as a result. Tickets for the London concert went on sale Friday, promis- ing the June performance would consist of three back- to-back Michael Jackson al- bums.
Now, however, the publicity and tagline for the show has changed entirely. The evening with Jones is being called “Quincy Jones Presents Soundtrack of the 80s” after tickets launched under the name “Quincy Jones Presents Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad.”.
Jones and Jackson were longtime collaborators and friends. The pair worked to- gether on some of Jackson’s most iconic works, including
Bad and Thriller.
While Jackson’s album
titles have been stripped from the promotional material, his songs will be featured during the concert.
All songs will be per- formed by a live orchestra, with intermissions of Jones talking about the creation of the famous tracks.
After the show’s name change, hundreds of Jones and Jackson fans demanded refunds on social media. Some also objected to the idea of the “surprise guests” and demanded to know their identities. One Twitter user told Jones they would not stand for Oprah or John Legend appearing at the event, seemingly due to their support of Jackson’s abusers.

Antoine Fuqua Delivers A Cinematic Love Letter To His Hero With ‘What’s My Name...Muhammad Ali’
In 1967, Muhammad Ali and Ernie Terrell almost came to blows during a pre- fight interview, forcing jour- nalist Howard Cosell to take cover in a corner. It had been three years since the heavyweight boxer became a Muslim, yet many, Terrell included, still referred to him as Cassius Clay.
“Why don’t you call me by my name, man?” Ali ques- tioned.
Terrell added more salt to his insult by then referring to Ali, not as Cassius, but instead as “him.” The blatant defiance would merit Terrell a pummelling in the ring, with Ali throwing jab after jab yelling, “What’s my name? What’s my name?”
MUHAMMAD ALI
During a ringside interview after the fight, — with his swollen eye and deflated ego—would later say he re- spected all boxers.
An apology, indeed.
