Getting Out The Vote Events Before Election Day
Several organizations held events to encourage registered voters to get to the polls to cast their votes prior to Election Day.
Faith In Florida hosted a Sunday afternoon after the vote event at Konan’s Bar-B-Q for those persons who had cast their ballots after worship.
Businessman Marvin Knight and Oriental Fish Market served meals to those in the University Area in an effort to encourage and urge the residents to vote
early.
Various groups and organizations hosted events ending at Andrews and Kimmel Libraries to involve the community. (Photographs by BRUNSON)
First-time voter Jacqueline Henneke, left, State Rep. Dianne Hart (FL-61), Congresswoman Kathy Castor (FL-Tampa), and candidate for Hillsborough County Commission District 3, Gwen Myers appeared at C. Blythe Andrews, Jr. Public Library on Tuesday, Oct. 27th, as they all cast ballots and urged everyone to drop off their vote-by-mail ballots right away or vote early to en- sure a smooth and safe election.

Kelvin Pearce and Colonel Melissa (Misty) Moore (HSCO) gathered at the BBQ establishment.
