AT&T Works With The Tampa Bay Chamber To Enhance Black-Owned Businesses And Non-Profits
AT&T has made a contribution to the Chamber for one-year memberships to 8 Black-owned businesses and non-profits
AT&T, a member of the Tampa Bay Chamber, ap- proached the Chamber about creating a program that would increase the participation and relationships of Black-owned and led businesses and non- profits. The Chamber’s work in establishing the Minority Busi- ness Accelerator Program that seeks to help Black and His- panic owned businesses repo- sition themselves to attract capital, scale their business operations, and increase sus- tainability in the marketplace – made it a perfect vehicle for this idea.
To help continue the diver- sity, equity, and inclusion con- versation within the community, AT&T has pro- vided the Chamber with a one- time contribution, that will provide up to eight one-year Fit 3 (top tier) Chamber mem- berships to Black- owned busi- nesses and Non-Profits that are not already chamber mem- bers starting in 2021.
“We know and understand the important relationships

and business growth that can result from being a member of the chamber. It’s critically im- portant to our community’s fu- ture that Black owned businesses and non-profits have an opportunity to benefit from the value the Chamber provides.” said Edwin Narain, Director of External and Legislative Affairs, AT&T.
AT&T posed the contribu- tion as an opportunity for other Chamber members to participate in making a differ- ence. Immediately, Amgen, Moffitt Cancer Center, and Re- gions Bank stepped up to sup- port the concept.
