Ed Narain Promoted To Assistant VP Of AT&T External Affairs
Effective November 1st, Edwin Narain was pro- moted to Assistant Vice Pres- ident of AT&T External Affairs. In this role, he will continue to perform his re- sponsibilities in Florida, and in addition, he will serve as the Southern Region liaison for FirstNet activities and strategic legislative priorities related to social justice and community engagement.
“Edwin’s experience, leadership, and skills have long been assets to our team,” said AT&T Florida President Joe York. “Combined with his knowledge of our sales or- ganization, his understanding of our products and services, and his proven ability to find solutions, he is uniquely pre- pared to take on increased re- sponsibility.”
Prior to joining the Exter- nal Affairs organization in 2015, Edwin enjoyed a suc- cessful 13-year career with the AT&T Sales organization, where he received repeated recognition for performance

and leadership.
A licensed attorney,
Narain also served in the Florida House of Representa- tives, where he consistently displayed the ability to build consensus as chairman of the Florida Legislative Black Caucus. In this capacity, Edwin worked to build stronger relationships be- tween law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Ed’s a member and for- mer Polemarch of the Tampa Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He currently serves as the Chair- man of the Hillsborough County Children’s Board and the first African American Chairman of the Hillsbor- ough County Charter Review Board.
He is married to Monica (Alpha Kappa Alpha), an ed- ucator, and has two daugh- ters (12 and 9). They are active members of New Mount Zion Missionary Bap- tist Church and are co- founders of the Black Leadership Network at USF that provides scholarships for black students.
HART Board Unanimously Selects Adelee Le Grand As Next Chief Executive Officer

The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) Board of Directors selected future Chief Executive Officer Adelee Le Grand, during its board meeting on Mon- day, November 2nd, 2020. Ms. Le Grand delivered a powerful public presentation introducing her vision of a transportation network to unite and offer the commu- nity immediate access and opportunity.
"It was evident to the en- tire Board of Directors that Ms. Le Grand will rebuild and revision HART by build- ing trust through trans- parency and respect with employees, customers and the community," said Com- missioner Mariella Smith, HART Chair, Board of Directors. "As we look to the future, we're confident Ms. Le Grand is the right person to lead HART and cre- ate a long legacy of providing the highest level of service eq- uitably and to openly drive Hillsborough County for- ward."
Ms. Le Grand was se- lected for the CEO position following a national search
featuring more than 160 ap- plicants.
Adelee Le Grand is a leader, with over two decades of experience, who is passion- ate about utilizing mobility as a tool to create and sustain vi- brant equitable communities. Her area of specialty is devel- oping and communicating strategies into the implemen- tation of business solutions and innovations.
Ms. Le Grand has served as a member of the ex- ecutive team for two transit agencies. She has served as the Chief Mobility Officer for the Atlanta-region Transit Link Authority (ATL), work- ing closely with the Executive Director and Planning Divi- sion to develop a strategic plan to document the new state authority's suite of serv- ices and strengthen partner- ships with key stakeholders and regional partners.
She also served as the Chief Strategy Officer in serv- ice to the New Orleans Re- gional Transit Authority, where her responsibilities in- cluded developing the first Strategic Mobility Plan for the New Orleans Region and rebuilding the Planning De- partment.
She empowers her team to view their portfolio of proj- ects as opportunities to im- prove the lives of the community they serve. Her motto is, "it is not about the project, it is about how the project improves the commu- nity."
The Recruiting firm GovHR USA and HART Gen- eral Counsel will negotiate contract terms with Ms. Le Grand. A contract for ap- proval will be placed on the December agenda at the reg- ular meeting of the Board.
