  Tico Allen Awarded $2,020 In Scholarships From TJ Keys And ASCS Foundation
 TJ Keys returned to CDC to present the 2020 Lee Roy Selmon-Rod Jones ASCS award
to Tico Allen
The scholarship was pre- sented on behalf of All Sports Community Serv- ice (ASCS) Foundation, by TJ Keys, son of former Tampa Buccaneer and Chicago Bear Super Bowl Champion and Tampa Trib- une Community Champion, Tyrone Keys.
TJ was a past summer high school intern of CDC, working in CDC of Tampa's Career Resource Center. While interning, TJ assisted

in connecting East Tampa citizens with equipped tools
and resources to succeed in earning and maintaining a job.
Now an Engineer and Software Consultant in At- lanta, Georgia, TJ returned to present the Lee Roy Sel- mon–Rod Jones ASCS Com- munity Award in the amount of $1,000 to CDC youth pro- gram member, Tico Allen from Middleton High School.
In addition, TJ, inspired by his remembrance that CDC of Tampa gave him his first internship and how his father was embraced by CDC Founder, Chloe Coney when he first relocated to Tampa from Chicago, TJ

   personally increased the award by $1,020 making the total award $2,020 in recog- nition of Tico continuing to
positively push forward through all of the obstacles encountered during his 2020 high school graduating year.
      4 Police Officers Test Positive For COVID-19
 Four officers of the Tampa Police Dept., including a School Resource Officer (SRO), tested positive last week for COVID-19.
Forty-six persons have been placed in quarantine, who may have come in con- tact with these officers (3 males, 1 female).
  2020 IbuumGrad Program
 Application deadline is June 30, 2020
The ibuumGrad Program is a program created by the team at ibuumerang, designed to give graduating high school students an opportunity in entrepreneurship. There’s an opportunity to earn a $5,000 college scholarship.
All graduating high school seniors are eligible to participate. Submit a 90 second video on why you qualify for this opportu- nity. However, no profane language, no picture collages and no copyrighted music will be allowed.
IbuumGrad is one of the many projects started by Tampa na- tive Holton Buggs, a current resident of Houston, TX. Ibu- umerang was launched in March, 2019.
