Woman Who Set Fire That Killed 3 Young Brothers Charged
A 49-year-old Arcadia woman was arrested and is facing multiple charges. She is accused of setting a fire that killed three young brothers and injured their grandfather who was her ex-boyfriend.
Police said there was one other adult and the three chil- dren in the home when Mar- ian Evette Williams, of Bartow, set the house on fire. The children were asleep when it broke out. Williams is the former girlfriend of the children’s grandfather, police said.
A spokesperson for the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office said Williams was arrested last Friday morning after she broke into the house and initi- ated a fight with the grandfa- ther. She was arrested and bonded out at 12:30 Friday af- ternoon.
She allegedly set the fire at 4:30 a.m., last Saturday morn- ing. According to a source, Ms. Williams broke into the house and poured gasoline to set the house ablaze.

identified as Marcus Clark, 10, Kiani Clark, 8, and 4- year-old Kemaren Clark. Their grandfather, who has not been identified, was listed in serious condition. An unidentified woman who was also in the house escaped without injury, police said.
Ms. Williams has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-de- gree murder, and arson. She was being held without bond at the DeSoto County Jail.
The Clark brothers have family in the Tampa area.
Suspects Break Into Coin Machines At Bowling Alley
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is currently investigat- ing the burglary of coin machines at a local bowling alley. Police said a Black fe- male suspect blocked the view from others while her two Black male counterparts broke into the machines.
The burglaries took place at the Arcades at Tampa Bowling Alley, 5008 S. Dale Mabry.
They fled the scene in a red sedan with chrome trim on
the wheels, wheel wells, and door pillars.
One of the suspects is be- lieved to be involved in a sim- ilar crime on December 11, 2016. Detectives are currently investigating five incidents that are similar and may be related since December.
The two men are in their 40s.
The woman is described as being in her 30s, with a heavy build, blonde hair, tattoos on her arms, and she was wear- ing a pink dress.

Nearly 9 months ago, a Tampa man was shot outside an East Tampa market. He died as a result of his injuries last Saturday.
The shooting of Elvin “Fathead” Joseph, 44, was an ongoing investigation by the Tampa Police Depart- ment. Now that Joseph has died, the investigation has el- evated to a murder investiga- tion.
Police said Joseph never recovered from his injury and had been in the care of Hos- pice for about a week before he died.
He was well known throughout the community as “Fathead.”
According to police, Joseph had made a pur- chase at King’s Meat Market, 3523 N. 22nd Street, on the afternoon of June 23, 2016. As he was leaving the store on his bicycle, he was ap-
proached by an unknown suspect who allegedly shot him and fled the scene. Wit- nesses to police the suspect left the area in a truck. The witnesses also told police that there was no argument prior to the shooting and police have not established a mo- tive.
Mortuary Services of Florida is in charge of han- dling arrangements for Joseph.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for anyone arrested and con- victed of committing the murder.
An 18-year-old Tampa man remains in critical condition after being shot last weekend. The shooting occurred shortly after 4 a.m., in East Tampa.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, Treymayne Mitchell was in the 1400 block of E. Linebaugh when the shooting took place. When investigating officers arrived at the scene to investigate a re- port of shots fired, they found Mitchell suffering from a gunshot wound.
The teenager was trans- ported to Tampa General Hos- pital, where he was listed in critical condition. A spokesperson for the police department said he has been showing some signs of im- provement, but his condition is still critical.
Police don’t believe it was a random act. Information gath- ered at the scene revealed that the person or persons respon- sible for the shooting had been seen in the area earlier.
