Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury have been on a collision course ever since their thrilling first fight ended in a draw in December 2018.
The heavyweights decided to each take two interim fights ahead of their rematch, reportedly penciled in for Feb. 22.
While Fury played it safe by lining up Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin (the latter turned out to be more diffi- cult than anyone imagined), Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs) is

Myles Garrett’s suspen- sion defense revolves around a far less famous NFL helmet swing.
The Browns defensive end and the NFLPA argued to the league that the Texans’ Anto- nio Smith received the harshest helmet-attack pun- ishment in NFL history — two preseason games and one reg- ular season game — for rip- ping off the helmet of Dolphins lineman Richie In- cognito and swinging it wildly at him.

On top of the length of games, the point was made that Smith only missed out on one game check.

Charles Barkley Apologizes For Joke About Hitting A Woman
CHARLES BARKLEY
Charles Barkley apolo- gized to a reporter Wednesday for what he called an “at- tempted joke,” following claims the NBA Hall of Famer had told her “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you.”
The TNT basketball com- mentator's response came a day after Axios reporter Alexi McCammond tweeted about the alleged exchange.
McCammond, a politics reporter covering the 2020 presidential election, wrote: “Just FYI Charles Barkley told me tonight “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you,” and then when I ob- jected to that he told me I “couldn’t take a joke.”
She said she had asked Barkley off the record for clarification on which Demo- cratic candidate he supported for president.
“My comment was inap- propriate and unacceptable,” Barkley said in a statement released by Turner Sports PR. “It was an attempted joke that wasn’t funny at all. There’s no excuse for it and I apologize.”
Former five division world champion, 42-year-old Floyd Mayweather (50-0), has no intention of returning to the ring - despite constant rumors of a potential rematch with Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather retired from the sport back in 2017, after stopping UFC superstar Conor McGregor in a mega-bout that generated over 4 million buys on pay- per-view.
“I’ve got calls to get back into the ring, but my health is my wealth,” Mayweather told Reuters. “Boxing is a very, very brutal sport. In the last few years a lot of fighters have died inside that squared circle. You have got to know whentohangitup.Ihada great career."
Mayweather did appear in the ring on New Year's Eve, when he traveled to Japan to take part in an exhibition bout where he demolished Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in a round.
The undefeated boxer is still open to the idea of doing exhibitions in the future.
“I’ll still travel and do ex- hibitions. I make great money doing exhibitions — between $10 and $30 million,” May- weather said. “I think I make more doing that than most fighters make fighting.”
Mayweather also felt that his bout with McGre- gor was big boost for mixed martial arts, because prior to their contest no fighter had ever made a nine-figure pay- day in MMA.
At the moment May- weather is running his own promotional company, May- weather Promotions, with an entire stable of boxers like Gervonta Davis and Badou Jack.
He eventually wants to create his own company in MMA.
“We gave the MMA sport a boost,” Mayweather said. “Eventually I will move on to build my brand in MMA but for right now I’m in box- ing, and boxing will always be at the top as long as I’m in- volved. My career went great. I’m happy with how every-
thing played out.”
