Clippers Chris Paul To Miss 6-8 Weeks For Thumb Surgery
CHRIS PAUL Chris Paul will undergo
surgery on Wednesday to re- pair a torn ligament in his left thumb, the Los Angeles Clip- pers announced Tuesday.
Paul is expected to miss approximately 6-8 weeks and will continue to undergo treatment and evaluation by the Clippers medical staff.
Paul was injured in the second quarter Monday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He had eight points, six assists and three rebounds in 13 minutes. The star point guard already has missed seven games this sea- son with hamstring injuries.
Paul was upset after the injury, kicking a chair as he left the floor.
In 36 games this season, the Clippers are 26-9 with Paul in the lineup. The nine- time NBA All-Star is averag- ing 17.5. points, 9.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds this season and leads the NBA with 2.25 steals per game.
Steelers' Antonio Brown
Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown has been a staple of political discourse since his halcyon days with the Cleve- land Browns in the 1950s and '60s.
The 80-year-old voted for Hillary Clinton, but vowed to support Donald Trump as President of the United States during a Monday appearance on Fox Business' Varney & Co.
"When you win against all odds, and you defeat those who were against you -- and I was for Hillary, so I'm one of those that Mr. Trump de- feated -- but he is the presi- dent-elect of the United States," Brown said. "I'm a citizen. I'm not asking him to do everything. I'm gonna pitch in and do some of the things that I can do with the like- minded people i represent."

will take office Friday, and the legend shared his first impres- sions.
"He's his own person," Brown said with a laugh. "He is a flamboyant, controversial individual. He's a little thin- skinned and a little reac- tionary. He won, in my opinion, fair and square, and I'm going to support him as President of the United States
Pittsburgh Steelers star wide	receiver	Antonio Brown apologized Tuesday night, saying his decision to stream video that caught coach	Mike	Tomlin's postgame message in the locker room on Sunday with- out permission was wrong.
"I let my emotions and genuine excitement get the best of me, and I wanted to share that moment with our fans," Brown said in a state- ment posted on his Twitter account. "It was wrong of me to do, against team and NFL policy, and I have apologized to Coach Tomlin and my teammates for my actions.
"I'm sorry to them for let- ting it become a distraction and something that they've had to answer questions about while we're preparing for a big game on Sunday."

day, Brown streamed video of himself making poses on Facebook Live. In the 17- minute video, Tomlin's voice could be heard high- lighting how the team's AFC Championship Game oppo- nent, the Patriots, had a head start in preparations for Sun- day's game.
New England played its divisional round game Satur- day, some 24-plus hours be- fore Pittsburgh visited Kansas City in a game that was moved from 1 p.m. ET Sunday to 8:20 p.m. due to weather.
Jerry Jones Not Shutting Door On Cowboys' Options For Tony Romo
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn’t give any indication Tuesday on where Tony Romo’s career would lead, outside of saying the quarterback will play for an NFL championship — some- where.
“I really believe that Tony Romo will play in a Super Bowl,” Jones said on Dallas- based KRLD-FM. “There could be consequences for us. I know if he’s healthy enough and standing, he will be in a Super Bowl. I strongly believe that.”
Jones was more guarded as to what he could work out with Romo, who has three seasons left on his contract. Romo suffered a back injury in the preseason and when he returned, he served as the backup to rookie Dak Prescott.

by Prescott, as the Green Bay Packers ousted the Cow- boys with a 34-31 victory in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs on Sunday.
“I don’t want to get into all that,” Jones said. “There are several cards to be played. Don’t think for one minute if you see something written or something said about what and where Romo is going. There is only one (person) who can make that decision and there has been no deci- sion made.”
