Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Announces
The Opening Of The Reed At Encore
No one was more thrilled than Sheila Reed-Palmore and her entire family when the official opening of The Reed occurred.
The Reed at Encore, named in honor of Mrs. Palmore’s mother, Ms. Essie Mae Reed, was a much anticipated event that was attended by elected officials and former residents of Central Park Village who knew Ms. Reed well. (PHOTOS BY BRUNSON)

Tampa Housing Commis- sioner Rubin Padgett attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.
In attendance at the ribbon cutting cer- emony were: Chloe Coney, Congress- woman Kathy Castor, Corey “King Cobra” Felton and Bishop Michelle Patty.
Tampa Housing Authority Board Members Billi Griffin, and Chair, Mrs. Hazel Harvey.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Rosemary) Hearns.
Dorothy Rowden and Mary Wright attended the ceremony.
Poet Laureate, James Tokley and Tampa Housing Authority C.O.O., Leroy Moore.
Among those in attendance at the ceremony were: Rev. Al Gallon, Tampa Housing Authority CEO Jerome Ryans, Sol Davis, Marvin Knight and Leon Gallon.
