   Tampa Solid Waste Department Issues COVID-19 Precaution Requirements
 The Department of Solid Waste and Environmental Program Management is dedicated to providing safe, critical solid waste collection service to our customers. The health and safety of our em- ployees and our 85,000, res- idential and commercial customers, is our top prior- ity.
Effective immediately, the following revisions are nec- essary:
• All garbage must be
bagged, secured, and inside of the cart
• All yard waste must be properly bundled or bagged (visit our website for details)
• McKay Bay Disposal Complex (114 S. 34th St., Tampa) will be limited to credit card transactions. There will be no cash trans- actions.
Residential waste is ex- pected to increase with more self-quarantines, employees working from home and in- creased cleaning and sanitiz-
ing. Please know that addi- tional precautions and ad-
justments are to ensure sus- tainableresidentialandcom-
mercial solid waste collec- tions. Any further adjust- ments will be communicated in advance.
Department Offices will not be accepting walk-in cus- tomers. We will continue providing telephone and on- line service to our customers. Customers may contact the City of Tampa Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811, or visit the website at www.tam- pagov.net/solidwaste if they have any questions or con- cerns.
     Get It Straight Foundation Busy In Community
    Get It Straight Foundation participated in the 25th Annual Missionary Mission event held at First Baptist Church of College Hill. Mr. Rechi Butler, founder, is shown with Bobby, Andrew, Qwaun, Jaden, and Mr. Gilbert Brinson.
Get It Straight Foundation founder, Mr. Rechi Butler with graduates from the STARS Program in Clearwater, on February 14th. The graduation was held at St. Vincent DePaul Resource Center. Graduates from the program will be starting gainful employment and getting stable housing. Mr. Butler was the Commencement Speaker.
