   Man Jailed For
Distributing Drugs
Resulting In Death
A 30-year-old Tampa man was arrested and charged in relation to a drug death. If convicted, he faces a maximum of life in prison.
Isaiah Reed, of Tampa, was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute a mixture and substance con- taining a detectable amount of heroin and fentanyl.
According to the criminal complaint, on September 19, 2019, Reed sold a victim a controlled substance that contained fentanyl. The vic- tim injected the substance, became unresponsive, and died.

Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the victim suffered an accidental death caused by the combined ef- fects of fentanyl, metham- phetamine, and heroin.

  Suspect On The Run Arrested In 2018 Fatal Shooting
 A man wanted in connec- tion with fatally shooting a man nearly two years ago, has been arrested. He was taken into custody in Duluth, Georgia, last Friday.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office had issued a warrant for the arrest of 29- year-old Travis Gray for second-degree murder. He is accused of fatally shooting Anthony Jefferies on Au- gust 26, 2018.
The shooting took place around 5 p.m., on August 26, 2018, and was investigated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. At the time of the shooting, police said 25- year-old Jefferies was shot behind an apartment at 14352 Lucerne Drive. He ran around the building, where he was found on the side of the street. Jefferies was transported to a local hospi- tal, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives followed leads that identified Travis Gray as the alleged shooter. He was not located and a war- rant was issued for his arrest

for second-degree murder and felony possession of a firearm.
Last Friday, the Gwinnett County Police Department, made the arrest. Earlier, an officer had stopped the vehi- cle Gray was driving because of a broken brake light.
When the officer exited his vehicle, Gray drove off, police said.
After a week of searching, officers traced the vehicle, bearing an Alabama license plate, to the apartment where Gray was located. He was ar-

Man Given 15 Years For Drug Offenses

A 48-year-old teacher was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The arrest took place early Thursday.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy observed a 2019 Ford F-150 in the area of Avon Park Cutoff Road and High- way 98, in Fort Meade. The deputy said the vehicle left the pavement on two occa- sions.
When the vehicle was stopped, the deputy said the driver, identified as Willie English, Jr., had bloodshot and watery eyes. A sobriety test was administered and a breath-alcohol level regis- tered at .099 and .098. The legal limit is .08.

With DUI
A judge has sentenced a 43- year-old man to several years in federal prison. He pleaded guilty on August 1, 2019.
Judge Virginia M. Her- nandez Covington sen- tenced Ronde Yarrell, of Bradenton, to 15 years and 8 months for distributing heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine.
According to court docu- ments, Yarrell sold the drugs to undercover officers on five different occasions. During the last drug sale, Yarrell sold an undercover officer six grams of heroin for $840.
Yarrell is a a ten-time convicted felon. As a repeat of- fender, with prior convictions for bank robbery and posses- sion of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture, or de- liver, Yarrell qualified as a ca- reer offender and was subject to enhanced penalties under federal law.
