Dr. Martin Luther King Parade Foundation To Host 31st Parade
Tampa General Hospital Launches Urgent Care At Home Program
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade Foundation will host the 31st Annual City of Tampa MLK Parade on Monday, January 20, 2020. The parade will be starting at Cuscaden Park, 2900 N. 15th St., and the first unit will step off at 12 noon.
The parade will feature local, regional and interna- tional bands, floats, live per- formances, vendors and more.
The parade is free to at- tend and all ages are wel- comed. For additional information, please visit www.mlkjrparade.com.
The 2020 Parade is set to be the biggest one to date. The two-mile route winds its way through the heart of East Tampa, ending at Mid- dleton High School, N. 22nd St. and Osborne Ave.
The 2020 MLK Parade Grand Marshal is Wayne L. Bright, Managing Direc- tor of Wilson Funeral Home. Tampa’s new Mayor, Jane Castor will be there to greet the thousands of people who participate in the parade.

Foundation will release in- formation about special ap- pearances at the January event.
The Foundation encour- ages any individuals, com- munity organizations, churches and businesses in- terested in participating in the parade to submit applica- tions now. Entries are al- ready coming in. The application cutoff deadline is Monday, December 2, 2019. Late entries are accepted until December 16th with a late fee.

This new service will begin in the South Tampa
and Riverview areas with plans to expand throughout Hillsborough County. Serv- ices available every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Skilled med- ical providers, such as nurse practitioners, will make the house calls.
Urgent Care at Home of- fers services similar to the traditional urgent care set- ting including treatments for cough, sore throat, ear infec- tions, eye problems, urinary tract infections, nausea, vom- iting, colds, rashes, fevers and sprains.
Urgent Care at Home will also provide medical testing and diagnostics including flu, strep, rapid RSV, urinalysis and more, ages three months and over.
The urgent care centers offer board-certified primary care providers who can take care of common illnesses and injuries without an appoint- ment.
