As A Socialite, Tia Young Authors Book About ‘Social Success’
 BY GWEN HAYES Sentinel Editor
Tia Young has seemingly been the socialite that most people admire: al- ways smiling, knowing when and where to stand or sit; how to enter a room; what and when certain pieces of silver- ware are used, and so much more.
Mrs. Young, a native of Tampa, has taken all those experiences and put them to paper in a book she has au- thored. The Book Title is, “How to Navigate Premium Experiences with Confidence. Your Guide to Social Success.”
The daughter of Joyce and John Austin graduated from Jefferson High School and then went on to the Univer- sity of Florida graduating in 1989. That’s when she realized that she had no idea what she wanted to do with her life.
Mrs. Young worked in retail man- agement for a couple years before being hired by United Airlines as a Flight At- tendant and Trainer in 1991.
Tia married Victor Young in 2000 and they were expecting their first

child in 2001, when the tragedies of 9/11 occurred. United Airlines, unfortu- nately, lost 2 airplanes and hundreds of passengers and crew members during the tragedies. Tia decided to take an ex- tended maternity leave after giving birth to their daughter, Taylor in No- vember.
Not one to sit idle, she started her etiquette business a year later in 2002. After a few years on leave with United, Tia decided to leave her career in flying after 14 years of service.
The Founder and CEO of Tia Young Image and Etiquette, LLC, she teaches the “Soft Skills to Success” through pro- fessional development and etiquette training. While traveling around the world, she realized that many people lacked basic social skills and good man- ners. She had learned those social skills from her mom, Joyce as a young girl growing up.
“My mom was always so nice to everyone that she met, and still is. It rubbed off on me. However, I noticed that the world did not get the same ‘home training’ as I did,” she said.
Now, 17 years later, Tia has taught over 10,000 students of all ages. She is ready to take her business to the next level with speaking engagements and increased book sales. She is proud of her new title of Book Author.
“It is a quick, 100 page read for emerging leaders or anyone looking to move up the ladder of social success,”
she explained.
Tia and Victor have been blessed
to experience luxury and premium ex- periences during their 19 years of mar- riage. They have enjoyed luxury travel, 5-star resorts, yacht charters, country club memberships and fine dining, just to name a few.
During those first few awkward years, as Victor was climbing the lad- der from Car Sales Manager to General Manager to Dealer/Owner, they had to learn how to interact with confidence in any setting. That’s exactly what Tia wants to share with the readers of her book.
Over the summer, Mrs. Young published her first etiquette book and it quickly earned the title of #1, New Re- lease on Amazon.
To help Tia continue her success, purchase her book for family, friends, students, co-workers and executive staff. She is available for book signings, speaking engagements and professional development training. Contact Tia Young today!
