Brandon Jennings Reaches Verbal Agreement To Sign With Wizards
The top welterweight in the world will be decided Sat- urday when Clearwater's Keith Thurman faces Danny Garcia for a 147- pound title unification fight. The match is basically con- sidered a toss-up, though Thurman is about a 2/1 bet- ting favorite, and considering it’s on network TV during primetime (CBS at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT), millions of people likely will tune in to see the most anticipated bout so far of 2017.

Jennings can't officially sign his new deal until he clears waivers on Wednesday at 5 p.m. He will travel to Washington on Wednesday to complete his new deal.
Jennings, 27, will fill a dire need for the Wizards at

The Warriors announced that Durant is out indefinitely and would be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Golden State said Durant could play again in the regular season. The Warriors' final reg- ular-season game is scheduled for six weeks from Wednes- day's announcement.
"At this time it's just specu- lation to guess when that is," general manager Bob Myers said in a conference call. "He'll heal as his body heals. And when he's healed and our doc-

Myers acknowledged a 10- to 15-minute window in which the Warriors thought Du- rant's injury was season-end- ing.
