Kawhi Leonard Suffers Partial Tear In Shoulder
KAWHI LEONARD
Kawhi Leonard continues to endure a tough season for the San Antonio Spurs.
After missing most of the start of the season due to a quad injury, Leonard will now be limited by a shoulder injury.
Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Sunday that Leonard suffered a partial tear in his left shoulder during Fri- day’s game.
Leonard was ruled out for the team’s game against Port- land on Sunday, but Pop would not rule him out for the remain- der of the team’s road trip.
The shoulder injury comes right when Leonard was start- ing to see increased minutes in his return from the quad injury.
Warriors Targeting Anthony Davis Longterm
ANTHONY DAVIS
The Golden State Warriors always seem to have a long- term plan, as well as a wishlist that rivals a spoiled child on Christmas. And after seeing the Dubs stunningly sign Kevin Durant a year and a half ago, we’ve learned not to doubt them, no matter how unrealis- tic their desires may seem.
So who’s next up on their list of desirable acquisitions? The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami be- lieves the Warriors are targeting Anthony Davis longterm. It’s quite easy to see why the War- riors would want Davis.
Davis will be turning 25 in March. He is signed through the 2020-2021 season, but he can opt out of his contract after the 2019-2020 season. The think- ing is that if the Pelicans, who have only enjoyed one winning season since drafting Davis, don’t show vast improvement, he might want to leave. He would still be young enough to be in his prime in a few seasons, so he would be highly desirable. The Warriors would probably also have a bunch of their star players still in place, so they would be a desirable team to join if you want to win.

Friction Between
Players, Refs 'Really Bad'
The Golden State War- riors' Draymond Green told The Athletic on Saturday that ongoing friction between the NBA's officials and play- ers is "ruining the game."
Green, who picked up his 11th technical foul of the season in the Warriors' 121- 105 victory over the LA Clip- pers on Saturday, told the website that officials are making things personal and the problem is one of the No. 1 issues that needs to be solved by the league.
"It's bad," Green told the website. "It's horrible. It's re- ally bad. I don't know why it is. But I think it's ridiculous. It's ruining the game. ... It should be one of, if not the main priority, to be solved. It definitely should."
The fed-up Green even proposed that the NBA should start fresh at the offi- ciating position.
"They can get a new crop [of officials], a whole new crop," Green told the web- site. "Too many personal things going on. Too much me against you. It just don't work that way."
Green received the tech- nical Saturday when he ap- proached referee Tyler

Ford to plead his case that Montrezl Harrell fouled him when the Clippers for- ward blocked his dunk at- tempt. Green was ejected during the Warriors' 141-128 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Dec. 30, marking the second time he has been tossed this season.
Three of Green's team- mates also have been ejected this season -- Kevin Du- rant, who has been thrown out of games three times, Stephen Curry and Shaun Livingston. Livingston was tossed in an head- butting incident with official Courtney Kirkland. Kirk- land was suspended for a week, while Livingston was suspended for one game for the incident.
UCF fans broke out with a popular and familiar chant during their parade at Disney World on Sunday.
Ever since completing their undefeated season with a Peach Bowl win over Auburn, UCF has been on a rampage crowning them- selves as national champions. As part of their championship crusade, UCF had a parade at Disney World.
During the parade, fans of
the program chanted “We want Bama!”
UCF may have been left out of the College Football Playoff (or national title game) like so many unde- feated non-power 5 schools before them, but they’re not letting that stop them. Bama will be playing Georgia in the national championship game on Monday. UCF will have a 13-0 record to comfort them, and a new coach.
