One Person Dies, Another Seriously Injured In House Fire

MS. TIFFANY WALKER ... Died in fire
One person died and an- other was seriously injured in a house fire Sunday. The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m.
According to the Tampa Fire Department, firefighters responded to 2211 E. 28th Av- enue in reference to the fire. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
As they battled the blaze, they searched for victims. Once the fire was under con- trol, firefighters found the body of one person inside the house.
Ms. Natasha Williams, 45, was treated at the scene and then trans- ported to Tampa General Hospital as a trauma alert with injuries sustained in the

fire. A third woman escaped the home.
Firefighters brought the blaze at the single-story home under control around 4 p.m.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Arson Task Force, who re- sponds whenever there is a death at the scene of a fire. The Task Force will deter- mine the origin of the fire and its cause during their in- vestigation.
Tampa Police have identi- fied the other two women in- volved in the fire. However, sources said Ms. Tiffany Walker, 40, died in the fire.
The names of the victims have not been released pend- ing notification of their next of kin.
