About Russian Interference
The Trump administration has canceled the provisional residency permits of about 200,000 Salvadorans who have lived in the country since at least 2001, leaving them vul- nerable to deportation, accord- ing a copy of a Department of Homeland Security announce- ment sent to lawmakers Mon- day.
The administration will no- tify the Salvadorans that they have until Sept. 9, 2019, to leave the United States or find a way to obtain legal residency.

Being Discussed
According to NBC News, President Donald Trump’s legal team is discussing a range of potential options for the for- mat, including written re- sponses to questions in lieu of a formal sit-down, in anticipa- tion that special counsel Robert Mueller will ask to interview the presiden, accord- ing to three people familiar with the matter.
Lawyers for Pres. Trump have been discussing with FBI investigators a possible inter- view by the special counsel as part of the inquiry into whether Trump's campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
The discussions involved Pres. Trump’s legal team seeking clarification on whether he would be inter- viewed directly by Mueller, as well as the legal standard for when a president can be inter- viewed, the location of a possi- ble interview, the topics and

However, the President's
team is also seeking potential compromises that could avoid an interview altogether.
With the possibility now looming, it was revealed that internal discussions within Trump's legal team began shortly after the president's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was indicted in late October for money laun- dering in connection with his business dealings with Ukraine.

Newsweek Publishes Photo Of Dr.
King In Casket To Commemorate
50th Year Of His Assassination
New Book Causing Big Tear In The Alt-Right Hierarchy
Mega GOP donor Rebekah Mercer supports President Trump over Steve Bannon. Her family contributed at least $36.6M to Re- publican candidates.
Newsweek is catching heat for publishing a photo of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his casket, and it accompanied an article titled “Has Anyone Seen My Old Friend Martin?”
The article was a repost of a story that first appeared on the Council on Foreign Affairs site, which listed historical an- niversaries for 2018. April 4th will mark the fiftieth an- niversary of King’s assassina- tion.
And of course, the rest of so- cial media was also livid.
“This is incredibly offensive and is, in fact, journalistic mal- practice,” one Twitter user noted.
Dr. King was assassinated 50 years ago, in April.
According to the Washington Post, the once-close bond be- tween President Donald Trump, strategist and former advisor, Steve Bannon and mega-donor, Rebekah Mer- cer was torched last week.
After excerpts of Michael Wolff’s new book, Fire and Fury, about the Trump ad- ministration hit the news cycle, including explosive comments Bannon reportedly made about Trump’s family, has cause the Mercers to choose sides.
The president responded with a blistering attack on his former adviser, who left the White House last August and returned to Breitbart News as chairman. “Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my presidency,” the presi- dent said Wednesday. “When he was fired, he not only lost
his job, he lost his mind.” Thursday night he called Ban- non “Sloppy Steve” in a tweet.
The rift between the two deepened Thursday, when the notoriously press-shy Re- bekah Mercer — whom is called “the First Lady of the alt- right” — publicly rebuked Ban- non and stood by the president in a statement.
“I support President Trump and the platform upon which he was elected,” Mercer said. “My family and I have not communicated with Steve Bannon in many months and have provided no financial support to his politi- cal agenda, nor do we support his recent actions and state- ments.” The Mercers have given at least $36.6 million to GOP candidates and super PACs since 2010.
Newly Elected Alabama Senator Doug Jones Has Chosen A Chief Of Staff
Dana Gresham has been hired to be the chief of staff for Doug Jones, the Alabama Senator-elect announced early Tuesday afternoon. The hiring paved the way for Gresham to be the only Black chief of staff among Senate Democrats.
Gresham has held positions on Capitol Hill for 14 years and was a leader of the Department of Transportation’s Legislative Affairs Office during former president Barack Obama’s eight years in office, The Hill reported. Democratic Repre- sentative Terri A. Sewell of Alabama said in a tweet that Gresham, who is originally from Birmingham, Alabama, is “Birmingham’s own stand out.”
Out of almost 3,600 Senate staff members, only 5 percent are Black (180), a 2016 report

from Roll Call showed. And Republican senators just barely outnumber Democrats when it comes to Black chiefs of staff; Senators Tim Scott and Jerry Moran are the only two who have hired black pro-
fessionals for the position. Jones will be sworn in on Wednesday at a ceremony in Washington. His election was the first time in 25 years that a Democrat has won an Alabama
senatorial race.
