The ship is currently un-
derway in the Aegean Sea, deployed to Rota, Spain. It is on its fourth patrol in the U. S. 6th Fleet area of opera- tions in support of regional allies and partners, and U. S. national security interests in Europe.
Support Group
Russell Davi- son retired from Tampa Bay Downs after 30 years. The celebration theme for the event was cen- tered around the Roaring 50s.

Sgt. With Ties To Tampa Bay Area Becomes Recruiter

Sgt. Rhondall A. Olson
recently joined the U. S. Army Indianapolis Recruiting Bat- talion’s Springfield Company as a recruiter with the Effing- ham Recruiting Center in Eff- ingham, IL.
He relocated to the Effin- gham Recruiting Center from Fort Hood, Texas, where he served as a Civil Information Manager for the 81st Civil Af- fairs Unit. He has also per- formed duties as a Geospatial Engineer Sergeant for the 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain Divi- sion, Fort Polk, LA; 201st Bat- tlefield Surveillance Brigade, Fort Lewis, WA; and as a topographic analyst for the 65th Sapper Battalion, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, which included a deployment to Iraq.
Sgt. Olson’s military awards include: the Meritori- ous Unit Commendation, three Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achieve- ment Medals, three Good Conduct Medals, the National

A native of Orlando, FL, Sgt. Olson graduated from Robinson High School, in 2007. He is currently married to the former Kristin Browning and they have five children.

The faculty and staff at P. L. Sheehy Elementary School re- minds parents about the “Em- powering Sheehy’s Parents Night,” better known as E. S. P. N. event, to be held on Thurs- day, January 11, 2018.
The exciting activities kick off at 3 p. m. and will continue until 6 p. m. with loads of in- formation for parents to assist their children’s educational growth. The public is invited to this community event. Several partners have come aboard to make this a successful event.
Ms. Kaneshia Williams, a teacher at Sheehy, who has been an instructional leader there for 13 years and has worked in the Hillsborough County Public School System for 17 years, is coordinator of the event.
