Middleton’s Rising
BY STUDENTS AT BIBLE TRUTH MIN- ISTRY ACADEMY
This player has a very bright future. Daunte Har- ris, the RISING receiver at Middleton High School, fell in love and started playing football at the age of 6. When he was asked who he idolized in football, he responded with a smile, “Julian Edel- man, wide receiver of the New England Patriots.”
For the first half of the last two games, Harris was exempted from the game due to a mild concussion that he suffered. The game resulted in a 44-0 win in favor of Mid- dleton High School. The sec- ond game was a loss 10-7. When he was asked, what contributed to their success or defeat he said, “Teamwork makes the dream work; indi- vidual plays or goals result in a loss.”
Although football is a team sport, Harris believes each player must bring skills to the game. While Daunte loves football, his dream and aspiration is to become a Forensic Investigator.
DAUNTE HARRIS
Though he is somewhat un- sure, he also sees himself be- coming an accountant. Nothing will get in his way of studying as time manage- ment is key.
Although he is currently playing football, he feels he would have better results had he chosen basketball.
Harris’s jovial personal- ity shines all over his face both on and off the field, and sparks even more when he catches the ball and produces open space.
Coach Fred Reid thinks he is a very valuable player to the team. Daunte has a pas- sion for football, but his ulti- mate pursuit is not the NFL.
