Ole Miss Players Take Knee As Confederacy Rally Hits Campus
Eight University of Missis- sippi basketball players kneeled during the national anthem Saturday before a vic- tory over Georgia in response to a Confederacy rally near the arena.
With the teams lined up across the court at the free throw lines, six players took a knee and bowed at the start of the “The Star-Spangled Ban- ner.” Two other players later joined them. The Daily Mis- sissippian reported that the players who kneeled during the anthem were K.J. Buf- fen, Terence Davis, Breein Tyree, Bruce Stevens, Devontae Shuler and Luis Rodriguez.
“The majority of it was just that we saw one of our team- mates doing it and didn’t want him to be alone,” Ole Miss scoring leader Tyree said. “We’re just tired of these hate groups coming to our school and portraying our campus like we have these hate groups in our actual school.”
The Confederacy demon- stration took place a few hun- dred feet from the arena. In the aftermath of violence at a similar rally in 2017 in Char- lottesville, Virginia, the Ox- ford community has been on alert.

Running Back’s Tablet
City Chiefs Signings
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers took fast action to dis- able potential access to their playbook when a player’s team-issued tablet was stolen from his car.
Running back Peyton Barber, who was visiting At- lanta, told police his SUV was broken into early Saturday morning. His tablet, passport and other items were taken, according to Atlanta police.
Police said there was playbook information on the tablet, but the Buccaneers told WSB-TV that only videos were on it.
“We were able to remotely disable the Surface tablet once we were informed. There was no playbook info on the computer, just some self scout videos, etc. ... noth- ing of much importance, ” the team statement said.
Barber, an Alpharetta, Ga., native, was in Atlanta on

Friday night to visit a friend. His SUV was one of several vehicles broken into Satur- day morning, police said, adding surveillance video showed five men committing the acts.
The Buccaneers signed Barber as an undrafted free agent from Auburn in 2016.
In three seasons, he has gained 1,751 yards from scrimmage and scored 10 touchdowns.
The Kansas City Chiefs announced a round of free agent signings on Friday that added up to four new players total on the roster: quarter- back E.J. Manuel, wide re- ceiver Sammie Coates, wide receiver Davon Grayson, and defensive back Dontae Johnson.
As it goes for any team, any player signed to a free agent deal during this time of year is likely a flyer of sorts, a longshot to make the roster that will shrink from 90 total players to 53 before all is said and done. Remember last year the Chiefs signed David

that was one of the better shots to make the team as a newly released player.

Sex Solicitation Case
Patriots Owner
Robert Kraft
 His Flirting With
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was charged Monday with solic- iting prostitution, according to the State Attorney's Office in Palm Beach County, Florida.
The 77-year-old billionaire is among more than 100 peo- ple linked to several central Florida day spas and massage parlors suspected of being used for prostitution and tar- geted by law enforcement during a monthslong investi- gation into sex trafficking.
Kraft visited the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida, twice, police said. Video footage shows him re- ceiving "paid acts" in a room at the spa and surveillance video shows him being driven to the spa, Jupiter Police Chief Daniel Kerr said Friday.
Kraft faces two counts of soliciting someone to commit prostitution. Mike Ed- mondson, State Attorney's spokesman, said the charges are second-degree misde- meanors and generally carry no more than a 60-day sen- tence in county jail.
Others named in the sweeping sex sting include bil- lionaire Wall Street financier John Childs, as well as a for- mer Citigroup president and a president of a Florida Boys
Two NFL Teams
Le’Veon Bell has been waiting a very long time for his free agency, and he’s going to enjoy it.
The soon-to-be-free Bell, who will not be franchise- tagged by the Steelers, asked his Twitter followers on Sat- urday, “so where do I go?” The cry for attention was re- alized, and immediately fans and players around the league were offering input.
Of course, Jets safety Jamal Adams was involved, writing, “Come help us win this Super Bowl brotha!!! Luv.” But it wasn’t Adams whom Bell responded to.
“If the eagles get leveon i will lose my s–t,” one Philly fan wrote — which Bell then passed along to his followers with a thinking-face emoji. Quickly, Eagles players pounced on the opening, with defensive end Chris Long endorsing the idea of landing the 2017 first-team All Pro, who didn’t play a game last season because of his con- tract dispute.
LEVEON BELL
Safety Malcolm Jenk- ins then joined in on the fun, using a “Come quickly!” gif.
It wasn’t just NFL players doing the recruiting, though. Portland’s Damian Lillard, who’s from Oakland, added a pitch for Bell to join Jon Gruden’s Raiders, which Bell then retweeted.
This is probably all mean- ingless, as Bell almost cer- tainly will go where the most money (and guaranteed money) is being offered. We’ll find out whose pocket is deepest beginning March 13, when free agency begins.
