Federal Judge Ruled Not To Enforce President’s Transgender Bathroom Rule For Schools
Among the many admirers of Maine-Endwell's accom- plishments at the Little League World Series is the President of the United States.
Shortly after M-E defeated Tennessee to win the Little League U. S. championship, President Obama called the team, specifically noting an
impressive pitching perform- ance from Mike Mancini, and congratulating Billy Dundon for his two RBI dou- ble that proved to be the de- ciding runs of the game.

On Sunday night, a federal judge ruled to not enforce the Obama administration's at- tempts to protect and extend civil rights to transgender stu- dents.
The discussion of allowing transgender people to use bathrooms according to their gender identities has been a hot topic.
North Carolina lost the abil- ity to host the NBA All Star Game over their transgender bathroom law. The debate ex- tended to schools this summer when the Obama Adminis- tration warned schools to allow transgender access to
bathrooms.
From that came a report by
the Department of Justice and Department of Education that provided guidelines on how to accommodate transgender students attending public
schools.
The guidelines stressed the
need that these students be al- lowed to use the restroom that aligns with their gender iden- tity.
After the guidelines were re- leased 13 states sued the gov- ernment. Calling the joint report unconstitutional, the states asked for an injunction to prevent the new guidelines from affecting the state of the 2016-2017 school year.
A district court judge ap- proved the injunction until the matter can be resolved in courts, preventing interrup- tion of the school year.

Donna Brazile, interim chair of the Democratic Na- tional Committee, on Sunday said recently released emails showing government access for donors to the Clinton Foundation don't indicate any wrongdoing.
"This notion that, somehow or another, someone who is a supporter, someone who is a donor, somebody who's an ac- tivist, saying I want access, I want to come into a room and I want to meet people, we often criminalize behavior that is normal," she said in an
interview with Martha Rad- datz on ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos." "I don’t see what the smoke is."
Brazile said she supports the work of the Clinton Foun- dation and that the organiza- tion has been transparent, law-abiding and careful to avoid conflicts of interest.
