Youth Empowerment Forum Hosted

Airman Graduates From Military Training
The GZL Foundation and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. hosted a Youth Empowerment Symposium for its MLK Day of Service honoring the life and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

These members of the fraternity and program participants are: Randy Barnes, Howard Mathis, Lance Lawson, Jonathan Gaines, Robert Nixon, Ron Gross, Alphonse Stewart, Rory S. Posey, Gary Oliver, Terence Hood, Frank Pyrtle, III, Samsel Kelly, Robert Winters, Jake Earl and Sean Brooks.

U. S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Amadi M. Phillips gradu- ated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San An- tonio, Texas.
Airman 1st Class Phillips completed an in- tensive, eight-week program that included training in mil- itary discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physi- cal fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science Degree through the Community Col- lege of the Air Force.
Airman 1st Class Phillips is the daughter of Alice and Muhammed Phillips, of Columbia, Maryland, and sister of Shakir Phillips of Tampa,
