MOTHER MARTHA PEACE
A Homegoing Celebration Serv- ice for Mother Martha Peace will take place 11:00 a.m., December 11, 2021, at New Salem Primitive Bap- tist Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Av- enue Tampa, Florida 33610, where she was a faithful and dedicated member for more than 40 years. She proudly served on the Mothers Board as well as other ministries. Mother Peace was born to the late Tony Washington Sr. and Mrs. Fannie Mae Mullins in Bessemer, Alabama. She relocated with her Parents and 9 Siblings to Tampa when they were small.
Mother Peace, 77 attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. She retired from Hav-A- Tampa Cigar Factory after 39 years of Service.
Mother Peace passed on Mon- day, November 29, 2021, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her 4 Children, Grandchildren, Great- grandchildren, 1 brother, and other Family Members.
The Wake for Mother Peace will be Friday December 10, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greater New Salem P. B. Church 1602 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33602. Family and Friends are asked to assemble at the Church 10:45 a.m. on Saturday December 11, 2021, for the Service.

RAY WILLIAMS
MINISTER JOSEPH RANDOLPH JONES
Minister Joseph Randolph Jones of Valrico, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2021. The Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Tampa, FL 33619, with Elder Chester F. Brown, III, officiating, Dr. Samuel Maxwell, Sr., Teach- ing Pastor. Interment will follow on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
He was born in Bonifay, FL on May 12, 1945, to Johnnie and Martha Jones. His parents relo- cated to Quincy, FL shortly after his birth. He graduated from Carter-Parramore High School, Class of 1964 in Quincy. He loved playing football and was a star running back. His family and friends affectionately called him ‘Joeboy.’ Upon graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, serving in Vietnam as a paramedic during his tour of duty.
Shortly after being honorably discharged, he relocated to Tampa where he entered the truck driving profession. He re- mained in that profession for 40 years until his retirement.
Sports was a major part of his life. He loved playing baseball and softball. He coached for many years developing talent.
Minister Jones had a strong love for the Lord. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Sav-
ior at First Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Quincy. He later joined Greater Mount Mo- riah Primitive Baptist Church in Tampa, serving as a member of Usher Board #2, Sunday School Teacher, Chairman of the Trustee Board, and as a Deacon. Minister Jones received his calling to teach the Word of God. His trial sermon was held on January 29, 2007.
Later he was called to join the First Baptist Church of Progress Village in 2010. It was there he founded the SSOIL (Seniors Step- ping Out In Love) Ministry. The ministry purpose is to provide a spiritual outlet for seniors to fel- lowship, provide food and en- couragement to the sick and shut in. It gave him great joy to organ- ize trips to various places, includ- ing St. Augustine, FL and Savannah, GA along with movie outings for the seniors prior to the COVID pandemic.
Minister Jones was also an ac- tive member of the Carter-Par- ramore Class of 1964 prayer group. He often participated in their Thursday noon prayer meet- ings, including delivering the message.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jacqueline; children, Tangela Jones, Myron Jones (Khadiya), Dedra Keith, Miranda Boykins (Cameron), Erica Jones, and Kyle Jones. His love of family was an immense part of who he was. He shared a strong bond with his two older sisters, Mrs. Sarah Graham and Mrs. Alberta Hill. The joy of his later life was spending time with two of his granddaughters, Christina and Elizabeth Keith. The three of them would often spend summer afternoons loung- ing in the family pool. He spent many weekends and evenings teaching them about The Lord and quizzing them on Math prob- lems.
He leaves behind twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The remains will repose on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 4p.m.to7p.m.atRayWilliams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa.

MRS. YVONNE P. JONES
Mrs. Yvonne P. Jones of Tampa, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. Funeral Serv- ices will be conducted on Satur- day, December 11, 2021, 2 p. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor G. Antonio Smart of Victory Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Grace, Mississippi, and a resident of Tampa for 70 years. She at- tended Blake High School and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was employed as an Environmental Specialist at Tampa General Hospital.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by: her mother, Jimmie Lee Nagel and stepfather, Albert Nagel; daughter, Natasha Jones; grandparents, Mose Benson, Sr., and Elnora Benson; brother, Roger Benson; three uncles, Mose Brown, Jr., Roosevelt Benson, and John E. Benson; aunt, Thelma Murphy; and cousin, Ivory Lee Brady.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Tajuana Potts-Ridley (Jimmy) of Houston, TX, Jenee’ Jackson (Ivan), of Harker Heights, TX, Tarnitha “Tonya Jones” and Rayvenia Jones, both of Tampa, FL; brother, Willie Ray Benson of Tampa, FL; sister, Deloris Benson Clark (Linsford) of Tampa, FL; thirteen grandchildren, Aaron, Eric, Thomas, Thalia, Auna, Lakeisha, Chancias, Katarina, Mary, Ivanna, Adrian, Alyssa, Jer- maine; eighteen great grandchil- dren; ex-husband, Roosevelt Jones of Houston, TX; cousins, Mary, Thelma, Audrey, Wanda and Valerie; good friends, Mar- garet, Denise, Gwen, and Jewel; and a host of other sorrowing, rel- atives and friends.
The remains will repose Fri- day, December 10, 2021, from 4 p. m. to 7 p. m., at Ray Williams Fu- neral Home, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, Tampa, (MASK RECOMMENDED).

MR. PERRY LEE MATHIS, SR.
Mr. Perry Lee Mathis, Sr., of Tampa, transitioned on Friday, December 3, 2021. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. (MASK RECOM- MENDED).
Mr. Mathis was born in Val- dosta, GA to the late Marshal and Arizona B. Mathis. He honorably served six years in the United States Navy and worked at IMC Agrico for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary M. Mathis, and sister, Lee Ethel Mathis- Wright.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his loving children, Perry L. Mathis, Jr. (Jennifer) of Spring Hill, FL, Rhonda Yearwood (Vic) of Atlanta, GA, Romanzia Saun- ders (Mike) of Atlanta, GA, Rubin Harris (Victoria) of Tampa, FL and Regina Harris of Tampa, FL; brother, Willie T. Mathis (Carol) of Tampa, FL; and a host of grand- children, nieces, nephews, and relatives.
