The body of a Pasco County woman who was re- ported missing last week, was found on Tuesday. Her boyfriend has been charged in the death.
Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco held a press conference to announce that the body found was that of Kathleen Moore. Friends had reported Moore missing and said she was last seen with her boyfriend, Collin Knapp, 30. Her body was found in New Port Richey in thick brush behind Knapp’s residence.
The cause of death was not released.

Clearwater Police are cur- rently investigating a shoot- ing that took place Sunday afternoon. The victim is listed in critical condition.
According to police, offi- cers responded to the 1100 block of Palm Bluff Street, in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, they were directed to the area of LaSalle and M. L. King Street.
The officers located the victim, later identified as 22- year-old Ivan Cobbs, Jr. Cobbs was flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life- threatening injuries. He re- mains in the hospital in critical condition.
No one has been taken into custody. However, wit- nesses provided a description of the suspect. He is de-

scribed as a Black man, about 20 years old, 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing blue denim shorts and a light-colored hoodie. Anyone with infor- mation on the case should call Clearwater Police at (727)) 562-4242.

  A 26-year-old Dade City man was recently sentenced to seven years and three months in federal prison. He is accused of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.
U. S. District Judge Charlene Edwards Hon- eywell sentenced Daniel Santos to serve time in fed- eral prison on the charges. He was also ordered to pay $263,066.15 in restitution in the amount of $263,066.15, which are the proceeds of the bank fraud.
Santos had pleaded guilty on August 24, 2021.
According to court docu- ments, from May 2016
through June 2018, Santos was involved in a bank fraud scheme that victimized at least 55 individuals and 21 fi- nancial institutions. Bank video surveillance captured Santos depositing fraudu- lent or altered checks into bank accounts and then with- drawing cash from the ac- counts before the banks discovered the checks were fraudulent.
Through the scheme, Santos deposited $570,977.38 in fraudulent checks and received $263,066.15 in fraud pro- ceeds. Santos had an exten- sive criminal history.
Police are continuing to in- vestigate a shooting that left a 3-year-old injured. The inci- dent took place Sunday after- noon at the Creekside Apartments, 1280 Druid Road.
According to the Clearwa- ter Police Department, the boy was injured after he found a gun. They have determined that the shooting was acciden- tal and the injury self-in- flected.
The boy was shot in the shoulder and remains in stable condition at All Children’s Hospital.
The investigation is contin- uing as police try to determine the circumstances that led to the child coming in contact with the gun.
