Juwan Howard Reportedly Turning Down NBA Teams To Stay At Michigan
JUWAN HOWARD
NBA teams have come call- ing regarding Juwan Howard, but he is turning down that interest.
Howard is not even allow- ing discussions about leaving Michigan for the NBA.
Howard is coming off a successful season at Michigan. He had the Wolverines in the top five for most of the season. They finished first in the Big Ten (amid some controversy) and they were No. 4 in the final AP poll despite losing in the Elite Eight.

Maxwell Thinks Boston’s
Vegas Home Was Burglarized
Next Coach Should Be
Floyd Mayweather Jr. posted on his social media that he was offering a $100K re- ward for anyone who has in- formation about one of his Las Vegas homes that was burglar- ized recently.
"One of my homes was burglarized in Las Vegas. They stole many valuable handbags and other belongings of sub- stantial value. I am offering at least $100,000.00 reward for information that leads to the return of my belongings. The level of disrespect and greed it takes for someone to do this is unfathomable. Thank you [sic] for to anyone who comes for- ward with any information. God bless," he added.
A Person Of Color
FLOYD MAYWEATHER, JR.
Mayweather did not dis- close what was taken or how much in value was stolen, but the cash reward seems like nothing for the boxer who will reportedly walk away with at least $35M from the $50M that was made off pay-per- view sales for his fight with Logan Paul.
After passing on an oppor- tunity to interview minority candidates for the sudden opening of the Boston Celtics’ President of Basketball Oper- ations position on Danny Ainge’s retirement in that role at the end of last season, the team has now embarked on an ambitious search to re- place Brad Stevens as head coach after his promotion to team president.
And there are a growing number of voices advocating for a person of color to get that job, including Boston-area sports broadcaster and former Celtics champion Cedric Maxwell. Cornbread — as he was affectionately known as a player — talked about his feelings on who should helm the team he won an NBA Fi- nals MVP with in 1981 in a re- cent interview with the

Athletic’s Jay King.
“I think [hiring a person of
color as coach is] important because if you look at the Celtics front office, if you look at most of those people who are there, who have been in the front office, ownership, everything else, those people aren’t of color,” he began.
Chris Paul Planning To Decline His $44M Contract Option?
There has been a lot of talk recently about Chris Paul’s next contract and his future plans. The star point guard just turned 36 and has a player option for $44.2M next sea- son. That is a significant sum of money.
So, will he pick up the op- tion and play for $44.2M, or will he turn it down in hopes of a long-term deal?
Earlier this month, it was reported that Paul is intend- ing to decline the contract op- tion. Paul had hopes of signing a 3-year deal for

around $100M.
By comparison, two days
ago Chris Mannix said NBA executives believed Paul would get around $60M for three years.
The bodyguard inter- fered during an altercation between P.J. Tucker and Kevin Durant.
Kevin Durant’s body- guard has been disciplined over his conduct during Game 3 of the Brooklyn Nets-Milwaukee Bucks playoff series.
Durant’s security guard, Antjuan Lambert, ran onto the court during Game 3 to break up an altercation be- tween the Nets star and P.J. Tucker. Lambert intervened and shoved Tucker out of the way.
The improper protocol Lambert followed by interfer- ing with play on the floor led to some strong reactions.
On Saturday, the 35-year- old security guard will not be courtside for any more games this series. The guard will not be permitted to work at all in Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum now.

Dak Prescott Leaving Adidas For Jordan Brand
Dak Prescott is making a big change with his endorse- ments.
The Dallas Cowboys quar- terback is leaving Adidas and signing a 5-year deal with Jor- dan Brand.
There are around 25 NFL players who are signed with Jordan Brand. Prescott will be the only QB on their roster. Jimmy Garoppolo signed with Jordan Brand in 2018, though it’s unclear if his deal has expired. Dwayne Hask- ins and DeShone Kizer are other quarterbacks listed as Jordan athletes.
This has been a big offsea-

son for Prescott. He signed a 4-year, $160 million deal with the Cowboys in March. Now he’s joining Jordan Brand. Ad- ditionally, all reports about his recovery from his leg injury last year have been positive.
