Diddy And J. Cole Re-Enact Fight At 2013 VMAs After-Party
DIDDY AND J. COLE
Kodak Black has gone from prison to proclamation ... a proclamation that June 11 is now Kodak Black Day in Broward County, Florida.
Broward County Commis- sioner Dale Holness pre- sented Kodak with the proclamation, stating June 11 will forever be known as a day honoring the rapper.
Holness bestowed the honor on Kodak Friday at a charity basketball tourney in

Coral Springs.
Kodak was clearly
moved, saying the proclama- tion means more to him than any platinum album. The proclamation lists some of Kodak's charitable work and personal accomplish- ments over the last few years.
The basketball tourna- ment raised $5k to benefit the Lippman Youth Shel- ter.
Diddy and J. Cole may have gotten into an altercation at an MTV Video Music Awards after- party in 2013, but it’s clear there’s no hard feelings all these years later.
The Bad Boy Records boss took to Instagram on Wednes- day (June 9) to share a video of him and J. Cole hilariously
squaring up with each other on a balcony. The pair went outside to pose for a photo together when Cole caught him off guard by getting into a fighting posi- tion.
Both Diddy and J. Cole laughed about the incident and clenched fists while staring each other down.
Sanaa Lathan To Make Feature Directorial Debut ‘On The Come Up’
Actress Sanaa Lathan will be making her feature directo- rial debut on Paramount Play- ers’ adaptation of Angie Thomas’ New York Times bestseller On the Come Up.
The feature project has been a priority for Paramount Play- ers and they were impressed with Lathan’s vision for the film, the story of which comes from the author of The Hate U Give; that novel turned into a 2019 Fox 2000 motion picture.
On The Come Up, from HarperCollins imprint Balzer & Bray, centers on 16-year-old Bri, who wants to be one of the greatest rappers of all time. Or at least win her first battle. But it’s hard to get your come up when you’re labeled a hoodlum at school, and your fridge at

home is empty after your mom loses her job. So Bri pours her anger and frustration into her first song, which goes viral...for all the wrong reasons. Bri soon finds herself at the center of a controversy, portrayed by the
media as more menace than MC. But with an eviction notice staring her family down, Bri doesn’t just want to make it— she has to. Even if it means be- coming the very thing the public has made her out to be.
