Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed Officially Announces Bid To Seek Old Post
Kasim Reed formally en- tered the Atlanta mayor’s race Thursday night with two simple words, telling a cheer- ing crowd at his 52nd birth- day party: “I’m back.”
Reed celebrated his birth- day at a $1,000-per-guest fundraiser located at a build- ing adjacent to the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Buckhead.

parking lot, and at least 20 guests could be seen entering the building around 6 p.m. Security guards were present in part to ask members of the media to leave the premises.
“Atlanta, it’s time to go,” Reed said in remarks cap- tured on video. “Atlanta, tell LA, tell New York, tell Char- lotte, tell Dallas, tell Chicago and definitely tell Miami — I’m back”.

FAMU Student Who Gave His Shoes And Clothes To A Homeless Man On The Side Of An Interstate Goes Viral
A FAMU student is being praised as a good Samaritan for giving away his belong- ings to a homeless man along a roadside.
The student, identified as Jabari Richardson by the Tallahassee news station WTXL, was filmed by the Tik- Tok user @amburandlex as he opened the trunk of his ve- hicle along Interstate 10 and talked to a man who held a sign that read, "Anything helps! God bless!"
Richardson then began handing his clothes and pairs of shoes to the man before driving away.
The TikTok video was cap- tioned: "I don't know this young man but he deserves to go viral."

ond video had gained more than 5.4 million views and 1.1 million likes. Users said the
act of kindness gave them "goosebumps."
"And he did this thinking no one was watching/record- ing ... that's how it's done folk," one person wrote.
Richardson, a senior at Florida A&M University, told WTXL that he was in the process of moving and de- cided to give his belongings to someone in need instead of selling them.
"As I was growing up, my mom always taught me there's a lot of people that are in need," Richardson told the outlet. "Not everyone's blessed as I am. My mom al- ways had clothes and shoes on my back. I can definitely take that for granted. Any- thing can be gone in the blink of an eye."
