Financial Workshop Entitled ‘Ask A Business Expert’ Is Topic Of Weekend Event
The Tampa Bay Black Her- itage Festival, along with TD Bank, N. A., and the Entrepre- neur's Collaborative Center will hold a no cost Question and Answer workshop for business owners and aspiring business owners to provide professional knowledge on the following topics: banking, lending, marketing, cyber se- curity, business development, social media, branding, tax, legal concerns and much more.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 9:30 A. M. to 12:30 P. M., at the Entrepreneur Col- laborative Center (ECC), 2101 East Palm Avenue (Ybor City), Tampa, FL 33605. The doors will open at 9 A. M. Free park- ing is across the street in the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office parking lot.
The following profession- als will present at the work- shop:
Bill Trotman. As the founder and coordinator for the seminars for the festival, Bill has slowly built a reputa- tion of having phenomenal presenters and top notch sem- inars for business owners in the Tampa Bay area with focus on East Tampa for the past ten years.
His fifteen years of experi- ence in the financial industry play a significant role in plan- ning financial and business seminars that the Festival of- fers. Bill believes in serving his community and has been a network group leader for the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce. He also has served as a board member for G. E. M. S. (Girls Empowered Men- tally for Success), The Housing and Education Alliance and The Tampa Bay Academy of Hope, Inc. and is currently a board member for The Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival Inc.
Leighton Kyler, EA, MBA, PMP is a Peak Perform- ance Strategist, Change Agent and President/CEO at Peak Performance Management, LLC. Peak Performance Man- agement is a personal, profes- sional, and organizational development firm specializing in Leadership, Business Intel- ligence, and Innovation.
Peak Performance Man- agement works with C-Level Executives, Entrepreneurs, HR Professionals, Sales Exec- utives, Consultants, Corporate Trainers, Coaches, Educators, and Managers. Peak Perform- ance Management also pro- vides group training, workshops, and seminars to maximize return on invest- ment for human capital em- ployed.
Ebone Cruz is often de- scribed as the ‘energizer pow- erhouse.’ She is a high energy, entrepreneur coach and moti- vational speaker. Ebone is obsessed with helping women business owners increase sales by focusing attention on how they can lead with more influ- ence and impact.
She’s driven to help women in business so much that she’s created The Best Women 365 group, so that those who join can surround themselves with like-minded business owners that not only encourage, but share with you what’s working for them!
She’s also the owner of the non-profit organization Hat-
Attitude, Inc., where she aims to empower women of all ages. With a MBA and back- ground in marketing and mo- tivational speaking, she’s worked with small and large teams throughout several in-
dustries.
Rolanda McDuffie has provided tax and accounting services to businesses and in- dividuals for over 15 years. The accounting firm was estab- lished to provide efficient, ex- pert solutions to businesses and individuals. The mission is to partner with persons for financial success by advising in personal, and business de- cisions, to keep finances sound.
Rolanda graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and holds a MBA, with a con- centration in Computer Re- sources and Information Management, and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Fi- nance. Rolanda is a mem- ber of the AICPA and NABA.
Felice Flake, CEO of Scy- Sec, has extensive experience in both the government and private sectors. She obtained her Master of Science in Cy- bersecurity in 2016. Felice also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a spe- cialization in Homeland Secu- rity.
Felice is currently a candi- date for her MBA with a focus on Information Security Man- agement. Felice’s experience
and credentials, coupled with her passion for her profession and community, supported her evolution into founding her firm, ScySec. She recently established the first Peerlyst Meetup group in the state of Florida.
Felice is the President of the Tampa Bay Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) for the 2017-2019 term. She also serves as Chief Tech- nology Officer for the Next Gen Cyber Foundation.
In November 2017, Felice was selected as a member of the National CyberWatch Cen- ter’s Curriculum Standards Panel (NCC-CSP) for the Cy- bersecurity Foundation Series.
Martez Gordon is a founding partner in the Gor- don Firm, LLC. Martez Gor- don is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts De- gree in Political Science in 2004.
Upon completing his un- dergraduate degree, he worked for Hulse Detention Center in Vernon Hills Illinois as a Juvenile Counselor and Probation Officer before fur- thering his education at Florida A&M University, Col- lege of Law.
After passing the bar exam, Martez went on to further his education at University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin Col- lege of Law, where he received an LL.M. in Taxation.
Tashima Johnson, fondly referred to as Tash Johnson by everyone who knows her, holds a Master of Science in Business Adminis- tration-Marketing (MBA), as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-law (Interna- tional Business and Manage- ment concentration).
In addition to being the current owner of Tash John- son & Co. – a marketing and event management company
based in the Bay Area – John- son also serves actively as a partner in BRAG Network, Business Resource Assistance Group, assisting local busi- nesses by creatively meeting the needs of their current client base.
Audra Murrell, aka DJ Reality, is a digital marketer, DJ, writer, instructor at the Conn. School of Broadcasting, and the executive producer of Park Jam Series FL, who is using all her knowledge to bring technology, internet marketing and urban music together as one.
As the owner of Urban All- Star Media, a full-scale digital marketing agency, she has helped companies advance their brand by seeking to reach a broader urban demographic audience and build genuine engagement.
As an instructor, Audra is teaching the next generation of Internet and Terrestrial broadcasters how to advance their careers through strategic marketing and honest interac- tion and dialogue.
