Vote By Mail Ballots To Be Mailed Tuesday
On Tuesday, October 2nd, more than 200,000 ballots will be mailed to residents throughout the state. Voters have until October 31 to re- quest that a ballot be mailed to them.
The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections has already mailed 5,700 Gen- eral Election ballots to over- seas and absent military voters.
Voters who request a Vote By Mail ballot are encour- aged to update the signature they have on file with the elections office.
Signature updates can be made by filling out an up- dated voter registration ap- plication online or on paper. Online updates add the most recent signature on file with DHSMV to the voter record.
Craig Latimer, Hills- borough County Supervisor of Elections said, “The Gen- eral Election ballot is two double-sided pages, so we may see lines during in-per- son voting. Vote By Mail is

the best way I know to avoid waiting in line to vote.”
Voters can request Vote By Mail by visiting VoteHills- borough.org or calling (813) 744-5900.

the four Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections of- fices, (during office hours), or 20 Early Voting sites (dur- ing Early Voting hours).
By visiting the Hillsbor- ough County Supervisor of Elections Office website at www.VoteHillsborough.org, voters can look up their sam- ple ballot to see what races will be on their ballot.

Hillsborough County
Judge Daryl Manning
held the first “Veterans Out- reach Court” two years ago. The goal of the program is to
help Veterans with outstand- ing misdemeanor warrants, fines, court costs, or ordi- nance violations.
The purpose of the pro- gram is to help homeless and low-income Veterans by ad- dressing active misdemeanor warrants, fines, legal fees, court costs, and ordinance vi- olations.
Judge Manning said, “Hillsborough County has one of the largest Veteran populations in the state. The Veterans Outreach Court is a means to assist veterans to resolve outstanding legal matters. This assistance is not considered a handout, but a hand up to these Veterans that have sacrificed so much.”
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Judge Manning earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Carolina. He continued his education at St. John’s Uni- versity School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor- ate.
