Lloyd Price ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ Dies At 88
Fenty Skin By Rihanna Launches New Butta Drop Body Cream
Lloyd Price, who soared to the top of the charts with the 1950s hits Lawdy Miss Clawdy, Personality and Stagger Lee, died Monday in New Orleans. He was 88 and no cause was given by his manager, who confirmed the death.
Price was discovered at age 19 by legendary New Orleans producer and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Bartholomew, who was working with Specialty Records producer Art Rupe. He took Price in and soon recorded Lawdy Miss Clawdy, with Fats Domino on piano and Earl Palmer on drums. The hit sold a million copies and spent seven weeks atop Billboard’s R&B charts.

YFN Lucci has more legal trouble his way. He is one of the 12 individuals who are fac- ing racketeering charges in At- lanta, according to a report from local news station WSB- TV.
The indictment alleges that Lucci is an associate of the Bloods and the allegations against him include tampering with evidence of a homicide by concealing a crime scene and vehicle by hiding it, assaulting someone by strangulation, and encouraging the striking and kicking of that person for play- ing rival gang music.
Felony murder allegations against Lucci and some oth- ers in the RICO case involve the homicide for which Lucci’s already been released on bond. He was arrested in the case back in January.
