Man Wanted
Teacher Charged With Having Sex With Student
After Beating,
Kidnapping Victim
A 46-year-old high school teacher has been arrested and charged with having sex with a student. The relation- ship with the student has been going on for more than a year.
Alberto Rivera Clau- dio is facing several charges. His bond was set at $180,000.
Police said he was the stu- dent’s Spanish teacher at Bloomingdale High School.

Barricaded Man Jailed After Surrendering

A barricaded man surren- dered to police after negotia- tions Tuesday morning. He was later arrested as a result of a confrontation with his neigh- bor.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the man, identified as Dandre Lee, 41, and his neighbor became in- volved in an altercation. Lee is alleged to have pistol-whipped the other man and fired shots into the air. The man was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
When police arrived at the scene around 2:43 a.m., Lee went into the house in the 2700 block of E. 12th Avenue and refused to come out.
Negotiators came to the scene and Lee was taken into custody without incident a few hours later.
He was charged with aggra- vated battery and being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Through investigative means, detectives learned about the relationship. On May 7, 2021, Rivera was ar- rested on 12 counts of unlaw- ful sexual activity with a minor (authority figure over student).

A 32-year-old man is being sought by police in connection with a kidnap- ping last Sunday. The victim was able to escape when he stopped the car in Citrus County.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and the suspect, identified as Cody Jackson, were at a residence on King Charles Circle, in Seffner, when they became engaged in a physical altercation around 11 a.m. Sunday.
During the altercation, Jackson is alleged to have struck the victim in the head with a piece of wood, causing serious injuries. He is said to have forced the victim into a 2003 silver Mitsubishi Eclipse and drove away.
He later stopped and tied the victim’s ankles and wrists with extension cords, police said.
After entering the city of Inverness, in Citrus County, Jackson reportedly stopped at a convenience store. Jack- son reportedly fled the scene after realizing the victim had

escaped. The victim was transported to Citrus Memo- rial Hospital, for medical treatment.
The vehicle was later lo- cated near the intersection of U. S. 41 North and Sunset Lane, in Tampa, police said.
Jackson is described as being 5’9” and weighs 185 pounds. He has several tat- toos. One tattoo on his stom- ach reads “Pure Bred.”

Police Charge Suspect With First-Degree Murder
Law enforcement officers in Alabama have arrested a man linked to a shooting. The shooting took place early Sunday.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, their Communications Bu- reau received a 9-1-1 call in reference to a shooting. Deputies were dispatched to 10000 block of Lula Street, in Gibsonton.
Deputies on the scene dis- covered an adult man lying in the middle of the road. He was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was trans- ported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
According to witnesses, a physical altercation took place between two men. At some point, witnesses told police, they observed 29- year-old Angel Hernan- dez-Tellez, retrieve a firearm and shoot the victim one time. Witnesses told po- lice that the victim was not

involved in the original argu- ment.
After the shooting, Her- nandez-Tellez reportedly fled the scene in a black Dodge Ram truck.
Members of the Hale County Sheriff’s Office, in Greensboro, Alabama, ar- rested Hernandez-Tellez, and transported him to the Hale County Jail. He was charged with attempted sec- ond-degree murder with a firearm. The investigation is continuing.
Detectives with the Clear- water Police Department have arrested a man in con- nection with murder. He was arrested Tuesday and trans- ported to the Pinellas County Jail.
According to police,
Arthur Benjamin, Jr., also known as Hadeeka Shabazz, 49, has been charged with first-degree murder. He was interviewed by detectives and reportedly confessed to the crime.
Around 8 a.m., on May 1st, officers responded to the Palmetto Park Apartments, 1001 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., in response to a re- port of an unresponsive man. When they arrived, they dis- covered the body of a man behind Building 7. De- tectives believe the crime

took place overnight.
The victim was identified
as 47-year-old Kerry Washington, who report- edly died of blunt force trauma to the upper body.
The two had been in a do- mestic relationship for sev- eral years. The investigation continues.
